Hey Amy Lee!! You’re the fairy princess and frontwoman of rock extraordinaires Evanescence, and you recently released a new song! What are you going to do next? Yep, she did. Two weeks ago, she went to Disneyland. And she liked it so much she went again. It’s been quite a ride lately for Amy, not least because she got to re-interpret a classic song from the movie she’s a total fangirl for: “Nightmare Before Christmas.” She recently spilled all the details to TheGauntlet.

Here’s what she said about recording “Sally’s Song”:

“In the movie, she is so restrained and she never sings the words all the way out. She is just meek. But for me when I would sing the song in my car on the way to high school, the teen angst came out and I just wanted to belt out my favorite part. I got to do that a little bit in the song. “
