Yes. Look for the link at the bottom of each user page, user gallery, community gallery and friends listing. If you don't see a feed that you prefer please let us know. MORE INFO.
How do I change my profile name?
First, check to see the desired username is still available before contacting us! There are two ways you can contact Buzznet to have us change your username. You can visit our Contact Page and send us an automated email from your profile. You can also contact our very own Richard, a Buzznet admin, to change your username. His email is richard@buzznet.com. Please include your current name and the name change you'd like. Only one name change per person!
How do I customize my profile?
The easiest way to change how your page looks is to adjust your profile settings. Click on Settings at the top of your right side bar. Underneath "Change How Your Page Looks," you will find the two areas to tweak your page color, feel, and page title. Feel free to fool around with different color schemes!
How do I add a background to my profile?
Go to your Settings on your right side bar. Click on, "Change How Your Page Looks." If you've already found a site that produces custom background images for online profiles, paste the code in the last box titled, "Custom Stylesheet." Press "Save" to save that specific background.
How do I add a banner to my profile?
First of all, create your banner in the image editor of your choice. Make sure the image is 801 pixels by whatever your desired height is. The vast majority of custom banners you'll find on Buzznet measure 801x144 pixels. Save the image out as a jpeg. Next, go to your Settings. Click, "Change Your Color Scheme." Upload the header image in the section called, "Page Header Image."
You're almost done! Enter the following code into the box titled "Custom Stylesheet": .userpage #header{height:144px;} The height should correspond with whatever height you chose to make your banner.
Why does my name and icon still appear when I upload a banner?
After you've uploaded a banner, make sure to check, "Hide Header Text," and "Hide Avatar" under "Page Header."
Can I make my profile private?
To make your profile private, so that only your Buzznet friends can view it, go to your Settings. Then click, "Edit Your Account Info." You can change your privacy settings there.
How do I delete my profile?
There are two methods to deleting your profile. Visit our Contact Form and choose "Account Deletion" as the subject. Please give us a reason as to why you would like your account removed. You can also email our Buzznet admin Richard by sending him an email to richard@buzznet.com Please provide him with the account name you'd like removed and the email address you signed up for the account with. This is to ensure that it is indeed you who wants the profile deleted. It will take up to 24 hours to remove an account. Please do NOT send any staff members requests through our private message system. They will always be ignored, as there is no way to verify that you are actually requesting your account to be deleted.
How do I set up a Buzznet photoblog?
The first step towards participating in the Buzznet Community is to Sign-Up. Once you create an account you will have your own free Buzznet homepage.
How do I post a photo?
On your right side bar, click on "New Photo." Upload an image file from your computer; make sure the file ends in .jpeg. You can add as much text as you like in the body of the post and add tags. Click "Advanced Options" to designate which gallery the photo will go in, post the photo privately, or post to your MySpace.
What is the best format to submit photos?
Please submit JPG format images and be sure the file name ends with the .jpg extension.
How does Buzznet resize my images?
Buzznet resizes your large image to a 400 pixel maximum. If you submit a smaller image we will scale it up unless you change your preferences to say RESIZE IMAGES: NO. Thumbnails are created automatically from the images you submit.
If in doubt just send us a big image, but try to scale down your original files if they are over 1MB.
TIP: don't compress your images too much. We run a jpg compression on all files submitted so sending in a highly compressed image will get double compressed.
How many photos can I post per day?
Free users can post up to 300 images per month. Premium members can post anywhere from 500 to 5,000 images per month.
Buzznet has no limit on your daily posts, but we do limit on a monthly basis to ensure we can grow at a steady pace. If you want to post more than 300 photos a month, you can always purchase a PhotoPack or upgrade to a Premium Account.
What are my galleries?
Your Buzznet homepage is a gallery, but Buzznet also allows you to organize your photos into your sub-galleries. For instance you could create a sub-gallery called, "Summer Vacation" that would just be photos dealing with that theme. They are just one-click away from your main page and can be password protected for privacy.
How do I post to my Buzznet gallery?
All submissions to buzznet happen through email or the online POST option.
Email: Send a single attached image (JPG format) to username.keyword@buzznet.com and it will appear in your user gallery (http://username.buzznet.com). You should include a subject and body on your email message. This will appear as the text for your blog post.
Post: When logged in to your Buzznet account there is a link to POST in your dashboard -- that takes you to an online form that allows you to post images directly to your Buzznet.com personal gallery.
How do I change the color of my gallery?
This option is for Premium members only.
You can edit this information in your DASHBOARD by selecting CHOOSE
YOUR BUZZNET THEME. From there you can pick from a selection of Buzznet
templates.
How do I create & add photos to a sub-gallery?
This tool can be found in your Settings. Choose "Create A Gallery" from the "Quicklinks" menu. After creating a new gallery, you will see its name show up in the "Picture Edit" menu inside of a pull-down list. This is the way you file your images into sub-galleries.
Can I link directly to a gallery?
Yes. The URL will be in the following format:
http://username-galleryname.buzznet.com
Can I delete a gallery?
Yes. Deleting a gallery (on the EDIT screen) will remove the gallery and file your photographs back into the main index for your homepage. In other words deleting a gallery does not delete the contents of the gallery it just re-files them.
Can I put a password on my galleries?
Members can put photos in a private gallery via the EDIT button next to "My Galleries." Just submit a password and users attempting to view that page will need to enter that password in order to view the photos inside.
What are public keywords?
Glad you asked! Public keywords allow you to have your friends, family
or total strangers post directly to your Buzznet homepage. The public keyword allows you not to have to tell users your regular password, so
they will only have access to post to this gallery. For instance, if you
throw a party and several people have their camera phones, you would
tell them all to post to this address: username.public_keyword.gallery name@buzznet.com.
We know it's long, so program it in your phones before going to the party!
Someone stole my photos! What can I do?
Buzznet supports artist copyright, so if you've found someone who has posted your photos without permission, you can contact us to help you resolve the conflict. Send an email to Buzznet's Community Manager, PanasonicYouth at moshiro [at] buzznet [dot] com. Please include the following: direct links to the stolen photos; direct links to the original source (either on your Buzznet profile or an external website); and the action you'd like to be taken. (Source credit or removal of photos, for example.) We will investigate the photos submitted to see if there is indeed a copyright violation.
