You can use your webcam to add a photo or video to your Buzznet account. Here's how:

Permissions

The first time you see the webcam recorder, you will have to give it permission to use your webcam and microphone (for video). You'll see a screen like this:

Make sure you check the "Allow" button and if you want to, check the "Remember" box so that you will not have to repeat these steps. Click "Close" and you should see yourself.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot see yourself when you try to record, you might need to change the camera device in the flash settings for the recorder. First, right-click on the recorder window and you will get a menu like this:

Click "settings" and the familiar box will reappear. Next, click the camera button if you are not already on the camera tab.

This drop-down menu contains all the cameras installed on your computer. If the list is empty, then you need to make sure your webcam is properly installed and connected. If you are using a Mac with built-in iSight, then make sure "USB Video Class Video" is selected. For PCs, the camera name should match the manufacturer of your webcam.

If you cannot hear any sound when you try to record video, make sure you've selected the correct microphone by going to the microphone tab. You should see the level bars light up when you make noise and you have the correct microphone selected. If none of them work, check to see if your microphone is properly installed.
