Today marks the fifth anniversary of Yellowcard's sixth studio album, "Paper Walls". The release was the band's first with current lead guitarist Ryan Mendez and was their last with Capitol Records before the band embarked on a hiatus that later ended in 2010. Fans have been celebrating the album's anniversary on Twitter with various hashtags and tweets. Yellowcard are currently in the studio beavering away, working hard writing and recording their next album but they're not alone as they're getting by with a little help from their friends. All Time Low frontman Alex Gaskarth, We Are The In Crowd's Tay Jardine and ex-Hey Monday's Cassadee Pope have already entered the studio with Yellowcard and now news comes of a new guest spot from former/possibly future Fall Out Boy vocalist Patrick Stump. Weezer's bassist from 1998-2001 (which immediately followed Pinkerton, and included the production of The Green Album and some appearances on the Vans Warped Tour), Mikey Welsh unexpectedly passed away yesterday at the age of 40.  A post on Welsh's official Facebook page states: "We are deeply saddened to announce that Mikey Welsh passed away unexpectedly today. He will forever be remembered as an amazing father, artist, and friend. May he rest in peace."  The official Weezer twitter went to say: "We are shocked and deeply saddened to hear the awful news, our friend and fellow weez rocker @mikeywelsh71 has passed away. We love u Mikey."  Truly saddening news for a sunday morning.
