Ashley Greene Reveals 'Twilight Has Ruined Me'
It should come as no surprise that when a regular person acquires fame, it often changes who they are and how they behave. Twilight actress Ashley Greene can definitely relate. While she hasn't felt that fame has affected her, former friends of the on-screen vampire have bailed on her since she stepped into the limelight claiming she's not who she used to be. In her November 2012 Marie Claire cover story, Ashley talks about fame, how it's changed her life and how she's dealing with it.
“It was a hard adjustment going from zero to 100 in a day," she said. "But it was also hard to talk to [friends], because you don’t want to be a jerk. After the movie [Twilight] came out, some people said, ‘You changed.’ And I said, ‘I haven’t changed, dude. Your opinion of me has changed because I’m working on this film.’ Trust me, my parents would let me know.”
While there are some bad parts, like losing some friends, there are definitely some perks to being a star!
"'Twilight' has ruined me. When this is all over, flying internationally is going to be very hard for me. It is just not worth it to buy a first-class ticket, because of the cost."
