Panic! at the disco had already ditched the guyliner, My chemical romance is in hiaitus and Pete Wentz is happily engaged, so is emo had already hung itself inside the closet?

Emo made a stir when numbers of young people desparately ended their own lives, more teens suffered from depression, kids came out looking out to the world with one eye wearing overdid bangs, hoodies sale swelled, Gerard "once-been-in-rehab" Way became a hero and Pete "once-was-suicidal" Wentz became a god.  As emo swarmed, so as their haters.

So what really is emo?  Emo is more than the hoodies, scars, guyliners and bangs, theyre the epitimy of emotion, often sobriety, dread, anguish and anxiety.  It is one of the societies stereotypes that struggled to let themselves be understood.  It is like they feel thrice, or even more, than what an ordinary people feel.  Emo had been considered also a subculture, just like Goths, and even accused as cult.  Emo is all that and more, but perhaps the closest definition would be-theyre broken souls that needs fixing, theyre romantics who gives deep values on emotions. 

So what gave birth to emo?  Just like Goths as far as my readings are concerned, emo is also a remnant of Romanticism.  Johann Von Goethe's Sorrows of Young Werther describes devastatipon ecause of inner turmoil brought by ill fate just like Chris Carraba's heart wringing songs that are considered gospels of emo.  The common denominator is always emotions-deep intensified emotions.

It had been months perhaps years since emo had stolen the scene and gradually some emo people learned to seek light and fix their somehow impaired life.  Just a little humble suggestion though, if we want emo dead, lets not push them down because its like injecting more negativity and they already had tons of it.  why not bail them out of the prison they willingly submitted themselves into.  Lets help them nurse their life, help them discover the bright side of life.  Let us be Ashley in every Pete and LynZ in every Gerard.(Okay last sentence omitted=D)
