October 27, 2008insert bad imitation of guitar here
Okay, like I promised, here's my day. Please try your best to ignore my TERRIBLE grammar throughout this:
I woke up, blahblahblah, went to my friends house, and I hung out (I posted a journal from my phone there) with her and we did all sorts of magical things. Then we walked over to my house, and my mom drove us over to La Zona Rosa. On the way there, we stopped by Schlotzsky's (excellent sandwich place, but I love their pizzas and cookies more) and she bought a kid's cheese pizza and a giant cookie, and so I ate the cookie that came with her meal, and was full [important detail]. We were just around the corner, and so we got to the venue about 6 minutes later, and my mom laughed at me for spazzing about the Glamour Kills sticker on Every Avenue's van (fun fact, I said vampire when I typed that originally). Then got out and were suprised that there were only four people in line, and ATL and MP's buses were just right in front of us, and so all the members came out at one point or another. We were being courteous and didn't bother them. And so we were sitting there, I talking about how I wasn't hungry for the Sun Chips I brought, and my friend never really wanted her trail mix in the first place, but then we realized, we were in the wrong line. And so we walked around the building and stood in that line. Nothing really happened there until after Gaskarth, Vinny Vegas, Jack, and Rian walked past with their suitcases, presumably on their way to shower or something. Rian smiled at us, but then again he just generally smiled at the group. We just chillaxed really, but then after Gaskarth and Vinny came back, things got exciting. Since we were full, and we had food we didn't want, we had long decided to give our food to Jack, but then since Jack wasn't coming back, we would just give it to however. And so we walked up to Alex and gave our snacks to him and we were like "Share with the other guys, or whatever", and he laughed and smiled and junk. His hair looks so much cooler in person too. And he wasn't wearing Glamour Kills, Anna! It made me happy. So yeah, we just chilled out for a while, talked to people around us, played Coffee Shop Soundtrack and Days of the Old obsessively, noticed people in bands walking about and generally had a good time. Then Dave from Phone Calls from Home asked us to listen to his band's music, and they're really good! We listened to Tonight I'm Over You, it's really good. They remind me of The Morning Light with more guitar. Everyone should check them out! He's also really nice too. And the rest of my friends came in, and nothing really interesting happened after that, besides Days of the Old playing during soundcheck, and my friend Hailey and I were the only ones singing along, but whatevs. Then we actually got inside the venue (more happened waiting in line than anything it seems like) and we were just hanging out and listening to music, and I also spazzed (my miind works weird during concerts) when they played Do You Feel but no one else around me even blinked, even though I had TOTALLY seen like 17 Rocket Summer shirts. But whatever, whatever. And yeah, then for some reason, people started screaming before the show and before ANYTHING had happened, seriously, it was just a blank stage. And then the crowd was pushing, and the security was like "STOP IT!" but of course, people are stupid, and can't listen so that continued until Miserable at Best, in the middle of Mayday's set. And so yeah, Every Avenue came on, and I was really excited and Dave kept saying "Get off the ground"in the rhythm of whatever song, which soon turned into the motto of the night. And yeah, like I said earlier, I didn't enjoy their set as much as I should have because people were being stupid even before the show started, and so I couldn't see and I kept getting shuffled around, and the people in front of me were just standing there staring blankly, but then when Dave came over near us, they all screamed and tried to grab him. Ugh. Then the Maine was next, and was reallyyyyyy pscyched for them, but of course, the crowd got worse (somehow. I think Dave encouraging a huge fucking circle pit behind me didn't help) and I didn't get any good pictures, and they only played the Way We Talk, from their EP. I'm behind the bandwagon and I didn't buy CSWS- but I had heard the songs- and so I was hoping for at least Give Me Anything, but really We Change, We Wait. But yeah, I still tried to have fun, and I did, but not as much as I should have. John Ohhh(I add unnecessary "h"'s to his name, because it looks cooler that way) told us to get of the ground about twice. Then it took a really long time to tech for Mayday Parade, and I yelled out "I love you Matt Flyzik", but he didn't hear me, and I was sad. Then yeah, Mayday came on, and I had an amazing time, even though the crowd went absolutely batshit, and I got punched(or possibly shoved, it's hard to tell the difference) by these kadjfeit924h0tyhg9yr8geragh;aefasdjfio34t0924fbvangtherkgaerit;3twet4t89204yt52345 dancing guys who have NO respect and NO niceness. They made me SO mad, it's not even funny. I can't think of a proper adjective to describe them. But yeah, then they played Miserable at Best and the crowd calmed down, and it made me so happy, because even throughout their next songs (I don't remember any one's set lists) the crowd was nice and calm and I could just enjoy them. But then the crowd was told, of course to get off the ground, and the insanity began again, but I had tons of fun. Derrick's voice sounds REALLY different from CD. Then of course, next was (my boys) All Time Low. Ahhhhhhh I had so much fun during their set, before I left the crowd, it made up for everything. I didn't care about getting pictures, even though I probably could have, and I just danced and sang and screamed and everything, even though the chicks around me (except for the ones behind me) were just gaping at them. ZACK MERRICK ACTUALLY WORE A SHIRT ON STAGE GUYS! I was so surprised! It was an Every Avenue shirt. And yeah, I spazzed, went psycho, did every possible synonym for crazy when they played Circles, and of course, everyone around me was just like "Huh? This song? What?", but whatever, I had fun, and Alex noticed a couple of times. In the song before Hustler, those douchey dancing guys made everyone fall over or something, and I ended up on the bottom of the pile, with like 3 people sitting on my arm. I'm fine, but it didn't really help the fact that I was getting kinda sick, and so I was just like "I'm leaving". And so I bought my merch, and I was stumbling around, and then I got some water and sat in front of the bar. Dave from Every Avenue came up and got something, and I was about to ask for a picture, but then he left because it took me so long to stand up. They played Lullabies while I was still in the crowd, and I didn't cry. For the second time, ever. I just focused all my attention on Alex, because I wanted to see his reaction when he played it. It was really interesting. He closed his eyes a lot during that song, but he was still smiling and just focusing on it and everything, the whole tone (for me) was different than the rest of their set. But I did however, tear up during Remembering Sunday and the new song. They were also rushed for some reason, and so they couldn't really make very many jokes and whatnot. And also, Jack's voice was REALLY high pitched, but he could have been doing that on purpose. You can't quite tell with him sometimes. When they did make jokes, however, it was hilarious, as it usually is. But yeah, it was an amazing set, but definitely not the best I've seen by them. All Time Low saved my concert experience, and I just had so much fun during their set, ahhhhh I love them. But yeah, then we hung out afterwards by their bus, I met Rian and got the picture, and told him he had pretty teeth and stuff, but I'm thinking they only way I can get the shirt to him (when that's back on) is if I have meet and greet tickets, so I don't know. I also had a bunch of questions for Gaskarfo too, but of course "You're like, the hottest guy I've ever seen. Can I get a kiss? Can I get a hug?" type of girls were all around, and we kind of had to ask him a bunch for a picture, and his smile didn't quite reach his eyes, not like it did earlier. But I didn't really care much, I has my pitture with him (I'm coming with him) and I'm fine with that. And also I love my hoodie. To death. You're amazing, hoodie. I need ideas for a name though. Something ATL related (duh) but not Alex, Jack, Rian, or Zack I was thinking Aljazari or Flyzik or Dwayne myself, but I don't know. Ideas? But yeah, I had fun, even though it was probably one of the more insane shows I've been to. Yeah. I can't wait until they come back though. but FYI, this show put TAI... in front of ATL for performanceship. I need those dirty jokes.

October 16, 2008BUZZTASTIC WEEKEND - The Composing Of Interests, Mischief, and Prettybandboys In Exchange For Madfun TourThe Composing Of Interests, Mischief, and Prettybandboys In Exchange For Madfun Tour featuring Jenna, Jay, All Time Low, The Maine, Mayday Parade, Every Avenue, and buzznet! Let me just start off saying this- my weekend was awesome. After weeks of scheming between myself and Jenna, we finalized our plans to meet at The Compromising of Interests, Morals, and Principles in Exchange For Money Tour that was taking place in Allentown, Pennsylvania on October 11, 2008. That date of the tour (featuring All Time Low, Mayday Parade, The Maine, and Every Avenue) is the halfway point between where I live in Rhode Island and Jenna lives in Maryland (5 hours for me and 3 for her). So after synchronizing the details and such, I set off with my mom at about 11 AM on Saturday morning to meet up with Jenna and her mom at the hotel later that afternoon. ![]() After we checked in our rooms, Jenna and I went to vlog in the hotel parking lot (after I blondely left my room key inside the locked room)!
After wandering around, taking pictures with sheep, and more with Jenna, Jennas mom said she was going to skip the concert because she wasnt feeling well. Almost automatically Jenna and I texted, twittered, and messaged JayV to tell him we had an extra ticket if he wanted to come. He texted back saying he was driving up as we were on our way to the venue.
![]() We arrived at around 6:30, missing the Friday Night Boys (never trust myspace times), and rushed to the back door for under 21 people, handed over out tickets, were stamped, then sherperded to the front entrance to pick up our press passes, told to go back to the under 21 entrance to be let in, and FINALLY weaved our way to the stage, flashed our passes, and started to photograph Every Avenue! ![]() A-Town represent! It was SO HOT in that venue. Sweat was pouring off every one but it was still an amazing time! ![]() ![]() After Every Avenue we went to the merch tent where I bought the SUP BUZZNET shirt. I was already ridiculously sweaty so I made an impromtu outfit chance and switched shirts into this one. Thank goodness I was wearing a tank top under my other shirt or it would have been awkward taking my top off side stage... ![]() Sick shirt! Everyone get one! :) Next up was our boys in The Maine who put on a fantastic show! John had his cast off for the performance but donned it again after he got off the stage. Poor boy needs to heal asap! ![]() ![]() ![]() Following them was Mayday Parade! ![]() ![]() ![]() Hyper meeee! And contemplative JayV. Then for the final act- All Time Low! Of course, they were amazing. I've seen them 10 times in the past 20 months and they are always awesome! Alexs new hair color suits him well too. ![]() ![]() ![]() After the show, pretty much all of the band members came outside to say hi and such. JayV left to drive home but Jenna and I stuck around to meet with all of The Maine and All Time Low, the lead singer of Friday Night Boys, and some random members from Every Avenue and Mayday Parade. And some random kid wanted a picture with me because he saw I was shooting on buzznet and do stuff on it. Lol, if you're that kid come find me please. ![]() We secretly wrote on The Maines fan. Like spies. Because they were standing on the other side of it talking and we didn't want to get caught. XD Sadly the next day Jenna had to leave at 9 in the morning. But we made another vlog before she left! ![]() And thus ended out buzztastic weekend! Hopefully this will happen again sometime soon! We need to conduct a HUGE buzznet meetup! :D There are lots of things I could stick in here that made me smile so much this weekend. Snapshots in time. But I'll just leave it at this. :) Peace! ![]() Related Groups:
