How To: Deco Lolita Inspired Charms, Necklaces, Bracelets!!!
Moshi Moshi!!!! ^_^ So, despite the technical difficulties I had for the past week I bring to you a "how to"!
Haha, hehe, That rhymed!
I searched and searched for THE perfect how to on hot glue charms as they are the easiest and least expensive to make. Remember the necklace from my last blog? Well, you can make a variation of this with a little creativity in mind! These accessories are not only for Deco Lolitas, they are for everyone who loves style and fashion!
THE HOT GLUE APPROACH:
Here is the tutorial! Make sure to think about ways you would want to alter the design/materials for a different look of your choice!
Hope you liked the video!
Here are my suggestions if you want to change it up a bit to seem more authentic or... less inexpensive looking. :)
First tip:
The use of a mould of some sort is a wise choice so you don't have to have a flat piece. Using an mould or even a cookie cutter can make your creations look more like this:

Look around for different glitter sticks and plain glue stick colors! You can also look for a glossy finisher! For doing designs on your pieces, like the cookie above, use paint and get creative.
Another tip is to place your pieces together like a collage for a bold necklace! Use wax paper as a backing or felt if you wish and glue them together.
Also, when you're done making your pieces you can add a hook for charms, hot glue a clip on for hair clips or hot clue a chain or a pearl necklace to make your piece a necklace!
THE CLAY APPROACH:

If you're more artistic and willing to pay a few more bucks for the set then try out the polymer clay method!
This is perfect for small accessories like earrings, rings and hair clips. Using the polymer clay, you won't need a mold because your fingers become the mould. Make different shapes and designs with the clay in many different colours. I'm not clay-savvy so here's a site that shows you how.
Use the last two tips I listed earlier for different looks for different pieces.
When you're finished your masterpiece can look something like this:

Please send me pictures of your finished product, I'd love to see them! Have fun with your crafting Lovelies and have a Sweet, deco-tive Day! :D
