I have received a "Thank you" from Agent X...

I wanted to update everyone on a recent development that happened within the last few weeks. Sciencehottie35 PM'd me, requesting my mainling address. I happily obliged, and a week ago I came home to discover a mailing tube had arrived in the mail. It's contents are as follows... First of all, there was a letter from Agent X:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Note the "Bee-otch" air freshener & the Post-Script? It's in reference to a thread here on SSS where I'd mentioned that my wife had fallen for Bumblebee all over again, and was on the lookout for that air freshener...

The item that Agent X is referring to is a full-sheet movie poster, of the Optimus Prime "Protect" poster shown below:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

A close-up of the writing on the poster:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Yes, it reads: "Methusalen / Thank you for your dedication / ROLL OUT! / Peter Cullen"

As per Agent X's directions, I had put some thought behind who to mail the additional poster to... and it soon dawned on me that there was one important person who hadn't been recognized for his efforts in exposing Sector 7.

thebruce!

Those of you who haven't heard of him, let me quickly introduce him to you all... My first introduction to thebruce was from an article I found on ARGNet. The article was a WONDERFUL introduction to the Transformers ARG (Alternate Reality Game), and I used it many times to draw people into the cause... Thebruce was the founder of the wikibruce.com, and who dedicated an entire section to Sectorseven.org... Making daily updates on what was happening on Sector 7's site, informing us of new podcasts from Agent X via his site at www.ebucehtdnif.ws, as well as additional tie-ins that might have something to do with Sector 7 or the NBE's (like Rise of the Chevy Autobots, where he himself cracked two of Bumblebee's codes early on in the site's history!). I also got to chat with him a bit over at http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/index.php?f=140&ppage=50&sort=lastpost&order=DESC, where there was a similar group of people discussing the goings-ons that I've mentioned above... He was very instrumental in sorting through the information that had been gathered and finding the tidbits that were useful to us...

So, I quickly contacted him, and as a 'thank you' of my own, I offered to him the remaining poster... Of the people that deserved some sort of acknowledgement, it was him... and I hope you agree with me!

Now, as Agent X has said to me in a previous PM:
"Methusalen-
Thank you for your continued devotion to the cause. Don't let their lies fool you- this isnt over- the struggle will continue for years."

Now, I don't think the cause is over yet, but it's certainly slowed down after the release of Operation: Hungry Dragon 2. We still don't know the full aftermath of what's happened; to Sector 7, the NBE's, Dr. Howard, or Agent X... How much of OHD2 was fiction, and how much was fact? In the movie, it's stated that Sector 7 was disbanded... But that can't possibly be TRUE, could it? Since S7 was behind the movie (and the whole concept idea BEHIND the brand "Transformers"?) to begin with? How many of the NBE's truly touched down on Earth & made contact with humans? What happened to Agent X & Dr. Rebecca Howard? Did Dr. Howard take over the mantle of "Agent X" from the her predecessor? Who was this first Agent X?

I plan on remaining for as long as there is yet activity on these boards, to wait for word from Agent X, and intend to stick it through until the end of the road... when we've been TOLD it's the end of the road...
Ever loyal,
Methusalen

I agree Methusalen

I will remain Vigilant and continue my contributions to the boards

I hope That I can keep my link With SSS in line with the people I have told Here in the UK

All To often We are left out of what is really important when something big happens.

As for the Poster !NICE! lol and the fact its Signed By Peter I beleive is an indication to the fact that surely X must also have tried to get the message out to those We may not be able to reach.

I just want to say thank you to everyone for all their Contributions to Helping the SSS cause, whether it be through sharing, Individual findings, or Teamwork, I think I can safely say that we all deserve a pat on the back and A little rest.

But that doesnt mean the struggle is Over

STAY STRONG!

Maybe we'll have more to do when the DVD comes out. Apparently there will be new diversionary tactics, like a prequel story featuring Bumblebee. Maybe someone at Paramount Home Video will sneak in something about Dr. Howard, X, Gravesen, and even Agent Powers. I'd like to see what Gravesen though his "talents" were suited to do.

Is that air freshener available anywhere? I don't think the "bee-yotch" part matches my personality so nobody who hasn't seen it in the movie would understand why I had it. I'm just curious.

Thanks for the update Methusalen, Great job to you and everyone that was apart of all of this.

I will continue to keep tabs on the different sites related to agentX and s7. If i find any info thats worth talking about ill be sure to post it.

On a side note.
Mr Spielberg has been easing the public into the idea that we are not alone for 30 years. Ive gota wonder if this all ties back into the 1960 Brookings Report that stated:
Discovery of life on other worlds could cause the earth's civilization to collapse.

That kind of thinking might have been true in the 60's, but today is unnesessary. Life is found on earth in places where it should not be possible, deep sea vents and reactors to name afew. Over and over the idea of whats needed for life to take hold has changed. The very nature of life will continue to grow and evolve.

Its easy to understand, the earth is not flat and we are not alone...

Supposedly the air freshener is available at retail... but I've never seen it outside of the internet...

I too would love to see parts of the SSS campaign (the videos available off the Sector 7 website, Agent X's podcast, etc) and even find out what happened to Agent X, Dr. Howard, Agent Powers, & even what happened to/with Gravesen make it onto the DVD for OHD2...

i agree we should not let them pull the wool over our eyes

How can the struggle be over anyway with the green light already given for a 2nd Transformers film?

Not to mention the upcoming new Transformers Animated series?

:-)
punisherprime: 07/30/2007 3:01 PM

it seems That they are trying to blind the Next Genreation Of Children Before they now whats hit them

If this happens then their is little hope for their future in knowing the Truth

I'd wait in line for that dvd. For those who don't know me, that's saying something.
Can't wait for ohd3! They maybe lies, but at least they're entertaining...

One has to wonder if a G.I. Joe or a Thundercats movie is being worked on. Would somewhat make sense. Those two franchises were running around and about (more or less) at the same time the "Transformers" marketing in the 80s was happening. A blending-in of sorts?

Anyway, anyone have any idea just -how- any of those codes were cracked on the Chevy Autobot site? Never could make heads or tails of 'em.

Could be the slowdown on both sides is somewhat akin to "the day after Christmas" type feeling where the movie has been showing for almost a month if not longer. For all we know Sector Seven could have just gone back underground...or maybe they chose to hide in plain sight. Would go with the ongoing theme. Unless this is all an elaborate ruse to generate controversy for Hasbro and like companies to sell even more of their products. Not like it's the first time the tactics been used. But with global survival at stake?

Naw. Never happen.

Though some of the marketing types seem to like the idea: With a gentle reminder one should always treat their appliances well:

My guess is that Sector Seven will lay low for awhile, at least until the next Hungry Dragon begins.

Unfortunately, I was not able to be active these past few weeks due to an untimely wisdom teeth removal surgery that resulted in some nasty complications, but I am fully recovered now, and I will continue to help in ways that I can.
