Operation Hungry Dragon 2 has begun its global initiative. Attached to this email you will find our new international "movie poster". We need to infiltrate the other side of the ocean before they do.

We're still conducting investigations of every protestor who tried to disrupt our ground campaign -- they will be neutralized. Unfortunately, our latest intel finds the level of anti-Sector-Seven feelings on the rise, no doubt thanks to X's increasing ranks of operatives.

What is a "Brotherhalo" anyway?

It came with a new movie poster.

P.S. Reggie, can you believe its been 30 years to the day? Me, you and those foreign exchange twins at the chinese. good times.

this shows that simmons first name/nick name is reggie and 30 years ago to the day (or may 25, 1977) these two had a good time, the wording "at the chinese" seems odd and outa place.
in history may 25 1977 was the birthdate/opening day of star wars so maybe its refering to that, the chinese theather in hollywood.

Sorry about the goof

If it helps.. it seems everyone is the SoCal area around Hollywood just says "the chinese" when referring to a movie shown there. It just part of our local lexicon.

FYI.. Star Wars debuted on May 25, 1977 as thelost1 said and if my scratchy memory is still intact, I saw it 4 times and it was NOT showing at the chinese at that time. Could be wrong but I think they got it later. My thoughts on this are as follows: The people generating the disinformation are young and weren't around at the time of Star Wars opening. Heck, they probably weren't even born. Also, it could be a coincidence that that date coincides with the release of Star Wars and simmons and john were actually seeing a different movie at the time. They mention the "twins" as a good time. Standing in line for an hour or two was not considered a good time even back in those days. They may have opted for a movie that was out and had good reviews but no waiting in line. Finally, god it sucks being 40 and knowing all this stuff from "back in the day". =p

Heh. I remember being around 7 years old and being babysat by the grandparents when my parents went out to see the original Star Wars. Had little to do with it at the time. (Though I remember seeing Battlestar Galactica when it was first released. Weird, eh?)

Anyway, littleiron from the tfw2005.com boards found a website where promotions for the movie were found in Taipai, Taiwan. Photos can be found here:

It might have to do with the fact that the "poster" does have an influence of Star Wars

Hmmm? Kinda meant I had little to do with SW at the time...until school started that year and other kids were into it. Wasn't speaking of the poster. :-)

Though the international TF poster looks nice. Glad it was patterned after SW and not Logan's Run (which, for those who would remember, was also released in theaters the same year as SW.)
