my parents and i have really bad communication. i dont feel like they know me that well, and i also feel like they dont WANT to know me that well. they dont even know that i like bands and guys! i really want to play the drums, but i have a really hard time to ask them for lessons. and i'm also scared that if i'll tell them that i love music, they might think i'm like my eldest brother. my eldest brother is the rebel in our family. as in nobody wants him to be in the house anymore. he's that bad. and he's also a music person. not my kind of music but it's still music. according to my parents, i'm already so alike with him! i didnt get it, because i believe that whatever i did was something a normal teen like me would do. if i say that i'm a music person, they might want to kick me out of the house! or at least hate me even more. [they hate me soo much already]
how will i tell them who i really am without being scared if they would accept me?

musicmyboyfriend: 04/27/2008 8:18 PM i guess i should sit them down. yeah i have a similar sitch cuz i also have my earphones on almost all the time and sometimes i get lost in the music that i cant hear what they're talking about that's why they get mad at me sometimes. i'm turning 14 this year, teehee. i guess it would be an exageration (spelling?) saying that they'll kick me out. but they do say that sometimes.
i'm not sure if they're ready. i mean, i thought i wore enough black clothes for them to know that i like black. but when i shopped and bought like 12352935569 black shirts my mom's like, 'why black? cant you wear another color?' that really pissed me off cuz i thought they know already. that's another problem of mine. how will i know when they're ready to accept me? this is really hard.

len0re: 05/06/2008 6:37 PM I had that´problem some time ago, just tell them and as ronarulz said explain them hoe you feel about it. with time they'll understand. and I really don't think they'll kick you out of the house if you really make your point.
