A Joss Whedon-less 'Buffy' movie.

whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Discuss remakes. Discuss which is the worse. Better yet, prove all of us whiny detractors wrong by giving us an example of a remake that was actually good.

They do seem intent on shitting on every good film ever made. I don't think it will stop because I don't think they really want original ideas. It's easier for them to regurgitate a script and give it that modern Hollywood treatment.

As long as producers keep saying "Gee, that is such a good movie, but with the new special effects we have now, it would be KILLER!" then there will always be sequels.
Sometimes, we just like looking at old ilms, no matter how bad special effects were then.

Your lying! This can't happen. :( I haven't felt this bad since I heard there was going to be a Death Note remake. I hate remakes!!! I wish Hollywood would stop it's rampage.

Remakes exist because Hollywood is too stupid and cliche to come up with their own new ideas.

i don't like remakes, they annoy me.

Death Note remake? O_O NOOOOOOOO.

And, no. I don't think Hollywood will stop remaking.

And as for the worst remake ever, that would be Dragonball Evolution.

It is all about the money. If the original made money, then why not a remake? I agree that Hollywood does not have any original ideas. I haven't watched a movie that I really liked in ages. The only one that came close was Dark Knight (Batman). I recently got Juno through Netflix because I had heard it had great reviews and it even won an Academy Award. I stopped watching it about 1/3 of the way through as it was really boring.

Should they? Yes.

Will they? No. Not unless the public stops heading in droves into the theaters to watch a pointless remake just because it has "really awesome special effects" and a famous name or two. :P

Although it would be amazing to have a Buffy movie....not like they are suggesting though.

It is a bit silly how they keep remaking things over and over again.

I think they are out of ideas,
