QOTD: Why is the Internet so dramatic?

Who cares if it's not Friday? Let's just get crazy on a Tuesday.

Why is it that the internet attracts such a high propensity for rumor-mongering? For shit-talking? For passive-aggressive annoyances? For call outs? For trolling? Is it it too easy to just write it all off as the anonymity the Internet provides? What's the best way to deal with the various types of e-drama?

I had NO INTENTION of even discuss pedos until Seb brought it up. I was ONLY talking that issue.

I didn't mention paedophiles.

Lets just say there are sick PEOPLE and stop with ageism. This is silly anyway. I only posted that story because it WAS what "e dram" is about and was called and considered "e-drama" That is what the thread is about and i did not post it to piss seb off. Just thought it was interesting and nothing more. Once again, Semantics grabs by the balls and tugs. I have school.
What ageism, Kia!? He meant that bullies come in all ages. It's not exclusive to kids and teens.
I believe Seb had no intention of touching on the subject of pedophilia.

And by the way, do you really think that pedophiles aren't worse than bullies?
Are you kidding me with that?

Adults are more dangerous online, because the sick arseholes that are bad in life are even worse online. Internet people sometimes scare the crap out of me when I least expect it.

(Yes I quoted myself)

I don't think I'm explaining myself very well at all. I'm sorry that I've been a little crap at explaining.

I meant more the head game that adults play online, to sometimes people younger than them; I was commenting on how the adult had set up the Josh account to what seemed to mess with the girl on just a mental level not a sexual level. I didn't mean sexual predators although there are a lot of them online & I hope that any victims do speak up.

I think paedophiles are more to do with sexual crimes online rather than eDrama so I didn’t even think of that when I was typing my original comment. All my comments were relating to the Megan Meier story, which I didn’t think had any paedophile undertones, but I might be wrong.

I was also thinking about a man who set up an account that he then used to harass me (but not in a sexual way). I felt scared & very upset after that happened (I was relating to how the Josh account was being used against that girl). I add everyone back on Buzznet, but always wonder if it's him pretending to be someone else again.

When I started on Buzznet I was a naïve stoner, but I have grown as a person. People that I trusted & loyal to; turned out to be people I would never associated with in my off line life.

I’m admitting I get scared sometimes by other people’s online behaviour & I don’t mean in debates.

I think I still make no sense so I’m going to give up on this thread. My bad for not being good at explaining things.

I do get a little humour out of the fact this thread about eDrama.
