Hat and Boots. Not necessarily in that order. If I had to pick one over the other, naturally it would be my boots. I can't be strolling around in the desert without protection from the rough flora, sharp rocks and rattlesnakes. A good wide-brim hat is an absolute to keep the sun out of my eyes.
I've always been fond of hats (not caps) as long as I can remember. I've worn many out over the years and prefer the Stagecoach by Resistol in the color called Silverbelly. That's the one I have on here. Sadly, Resistol no longer makes the Stagecoach. I find them where I can. I always re-block them to fit my taste as I hate the way factory cowboy hats are shaped.
So far as boots, I love my Magnums for hiking and digging in the dirt, but prefer wearing my Ariats most of the time. I find both brands of boots the most comfortable and durable around.
That's that. On to next week's photo!
