This is a handcart on which people tend to sell snacks on the road in Bombay. This particular salesman was selling tamarind mixed with a variety of spices in various difffenrent proportions. Everything to tickle your tastebuds. From sour to punjent to sweet. Even combinations of these. I had attended a lecture by Saskia Sassen last month and she made a beautiful observation that people usually take for granted in India. The lower class owns the streets, making it their living quarters and also earning their liveihood off it. Street food in India is mostly healthy. I don't eat street food cause I'm scared I will fall ill as I am not used to it, but some day, I hope to be brave enough to do so.
