Chapter 30
Josh tries to see throgh the rain that is pouring down and to keep a good speed although the road is very wet. He knew that driving back to Frnklin was a good idea but only if he had done that just when Alexa left. His heart was beating faster than the usual and the idea of loosing everything that was dare for him seemed so real. Alexa was going to tell about the baby to Hayleys parents and he knew that nothing good would come out of this. He kept on cussing at himself for letting her parents take her away, back than he was sure it was safer that way but in a matter of two days everything changed. She was in the camp of the enemy, not safe. He tried numerous times to call Thabitha but only had her father yelling at him from the other line. Thabitha was grounded and had no acces to the phone and of course couldnt talk to Josh because he was a guy who kidnapped Hayley. That nonesense could only come from Hayleys parents, he knew it. And they hated him enough to hurt this unborn child. Joshs heart ones again tingled at the thought, it was his child and he had the rights on it just like Hayley did so if Hayleys parents had made any decision they would have to deal with him first.
Hayley felt small and complitely vulnerable as her parents stared at her with anger, worry, pain and confusion. Alexa who stood in the corner only smirked, Hayley coulnt even understand how this girl had so much venom and hate towards her.
- Baby, Mrs.Williams begun tearfully, honey, tell me this is not true? she whispered.
- This is true mom, Hayley muttered and chewed hard into her lip, but this is mine and Joshs baby and you cant do anything about it, she said with determination.
- I shouldve known! Mr.Williams snapped and begun to pass in the room, what were you thinking? he snapped angrily.
- You dont need to do anythig dad, Hayley says and looks away, me and Josh are taking care of it.
- Josh? Mr.Williams snapped, he'll leave you right away! Josh, Mr.Williams repeated and shook his head.
- He knows about the baby! Hayley snaps, and we were planning on taking care of it, hes not leaving me, she said with a soft smile.
- Sorry but you're wrong, Alexa cuts in, Josh and i are back together and we sure dont need your baby, she chuckled.
- Shut up, Hayley hissed, i know you're lying.
- Why are you so sure honey? Alexa smirked.
- I don't see him here, Hayley simply said, or why would you be here, instead of being with him? she said and chuckle seeing Alexa bit at her lip, exactly what i thought, Hayley shook her head.
- Alexa, i think you should leave now, we've got a serious talk ahead of us, Mr. William said giving Alexa a look.
- Of cource, she smirked and walked to the door, just one more thing Hayley, she said, don't expect Josh to stay with you for long, she said and opened the door, Hayley chewed hard into her lip but didn't say anything.
- Bitch, Hayley whispered under her breath as Alexa left.
- Honey, tell us the truth, Mrs.Williams begun and went to sit with Hayley on the couch, did you really want this baby? she asked and her face twisted into a disgusted frown as she glanced at Hayley's baby bump.
- Yes mom, Hayley snapped, me and Josh want this baby and we are going to take care of it!
- How can you take care of it, if you can't even take care of yourselves! Mr.Williams snapped, look at you, you're just a kid!
- I'm not! Hayley snapped and stood up, i can take care of myself and Josh will always take care of me and our baby, we don't need your help!
- Sit down and listen to me, Mr.Williams ordered, Hayley huffed and sat back down, she crossed her arms over her chest waiting for whatever her father had to say.
- You are going to live here as long as we want you to and Josh won't help you with anything-
- You have no rights to keep me here, we have a place to live! Hayley snapped.
- A place to live huh? her father hissed, and who pays the rent, does he even have a job? he smirked, Hayley gulped and looked away.
- We have money and Josh will get a job soon, Hayley mumbled.
- Soon huh? And you expect us to trust him your life and your health, i dont think so, Mr.Williams shook his head.
- I am not staying here, i love Josh and-
- You are still my daughter and i wont let this son of a bitch lay his hands on you! Mr.Williams roared, Hayley chewed hard into her lip.
- Honey, Mrs.Williams begun wanting to calm her husband down a bit.
- Well its a bit too late isn't it daddy? Hayley hissed and smirked.
- You little- Mr.Williams walked up to her but his wife stood up and gave him a look.
- George enough, she whispered, calm down, theres really nothing we can do now, can't we? she said.
- I'm not letting you live with him any time soon, you are going to live in this house.
- I'm old enough to decide what to do! Hayley snapped angrily as her father begun to leave the room.
- Not when i'm still alive! her father snapped and left the room.
Burring her face into her hands Hayley begun to cry and she didnt know if it was of happiness because her parents didnt talked about getting rid of the baby or out of sorrow knowing that her parents won't let her be with Josh.
Slamming the door of his car shut Josh jogged towards the front porch of Hayley's house, without any hesitation he started to ring the bell and knock on the door, he didn't care how late it was he was determinated to finish what he had ones started. He heard voices coming from the other side of the door, the lights turned on and soon the door opened.
- What are you doing here? Mr.Williams hissed and walked on the front porch closing the door behind him.
- I came to talk about Hayley and the baby, Josh said knowing that there was no point hidig it anymore.
- Hayley isn't going anywhere, we don't need your help, we can take care of our daughter and the baby, Mr.Williams said.
- This is my child as well and you have no right-
- Your child? Mr.Williams hissed, you have absolutely nothing to tell us and you are not going to be around.
- Excuse me? Josh hissed, i've taken Hayley away so we could raise this child and take care of it, you're telling me i am not going to be around?
- Yes because i said so, we don't need you and nether does Hayley!
- We love each other! Josh spat.
- Josh! Josh's heard skipped a beat as he heard Hayley calling out for him from the house.
- Let me talk to her, Josh said.
- I don't think so, leave before i call the police.
- You're insane, Josh snapped, i have no attention on harming your daugher, can't you just understand that we want to be together for good, don't you see that we belong together?
- My daughter belongs home and you don't belong with her, Mr.Williams said seriously. Josh chewed hard into his lip as Hayley called him again.
- If you ever hurt our child, Josh begun.
- Don't try to scare me kid, Mr.Williams shook his head, leave and never come back here, Hayley doesn't need you, Josh shook his head at Hayley's father as he turned around to leave.
- Don't you understand that you're only hurting Hayley?
- She's safer home that with you, living God knows where and, gosh, you don't even have a job, Mr. Williams smirked and pulled the door open.
- Josh, Hayley pushed her father out of the way and run into his arms.
- Baby, it's okay, Josh whispered into her hair and held her close, i love you.
- I want to be with you not with them, Hayley whispered and looked at him.
- Your father is right, you're safer here, it's the truth Hayley, Josh said with sadness in his eyes.
- But i hate it here, i need you, Hayley said making her father angery at her words.
- Enough, Hayley get back home, right now! her father snapped and grabbed her arm.
- No, i'll stay with Josh! she snapped.
- Please, lets talk about this, Josh tried ones again and looked at Hayley's parents who both stood in the doorway.
- There's nothing to talk about anymore, Mr. Williams said coldly.
- How dare you coming here now, Mrs. Williams whispered with tears in her eyes as she looked at Josh.
- You got it all wrong, Josh said pulling Hayley closer to his chest, i love Hayley and i love our baby, i'm ready to go though all of the difficulties with her, i won't let her down.
- I don't want to live with you, Hayley muttered as she glanced at her parents, i want to be with Josh.
- Baby, you can't just leave us now, you can't get throgh this on your own, Mrs. Williams exclaimed.
- We're not running away from you, you can always see Hayley, whenever you want to just don't try to separate us, Josh said softly and run his fingers through Hayley's now blond hair.
- You're both staying here tonight, Mr.Williams muttered and walked back into the house. Hayley looked at Josh with bright eyes before pulling him in a tight hug.
- Come inside, Mrs. Williams said not wanting to leave them alone for a second, Hayley chewed into her lip before kissing Josh on the lips.
- Thank you, she murmured and pulled him by the hand.
- Where do you think you're going? Mr. Williams demanded as Josh followed Hayley into her room.
- Dad, Hayley muttered and looked at him, this is getting ridiculous, she said grabbing Josh's hand and pulling him into her room. Hayley's father cussed under his breath as she slammed the door of her room shut.
- He's not staying her for long, Mr.Williams told his wife.
- Please, don't cry, Josh whispered and kissed Hayley's forehead, i'm here now.
- I though that i won't ever see you again, Hayley sobbed.
- But i came, Josh smiled and cuped her face into his hands, don't cry, he smiled.
- I was wrong about letting you go, Josh whispered, Hayley's didn't replay and only held into him tighter.
- Alexa was here just before you came, Hayley sniffed and wiped her tears away, Josh chewed into his lipring and looked away, what's wrong?
- She told me she would come and tell everything to your parents, which she did, i just followed after her but later.
- You talked? Hayley whispered.
- She was in the apartment when i came and i, i though it was you, Josh said uneasely.
- How? Hayley asked quietly feeling her stomach flip.
- The lights were off and she, she kissed me, he whispred and closed his eyes.
- You kissed her back? Hayley asked with a shaky voice.
- Only because i though it was you but the baby- Josh chewed hard into his lip as he saw how much it was hurting Hayley.
- She told me you didn't want to do anything with our baby and you and her were back together, Hayley whispered, that's not true right? she asked.
- Of course it's not true! Josh snapped and sighed, you know that i only love you, he said strongly.
- I know, i'm sorry, Hayley whispered and kissed him softly, Josh pulled her closer and kissed back.
Hayley groaned as she heard a knock on the door, opening her eyes she couldn't help but to smile. Josh was still asleep, his arms drapped around Hayley's waist, she giggled softly and kissed him on the lips.
- Time to wake up! Mr.Williams snapped on the other side of the door.
- Okay! Hayley answered and rolled her eyes, sorry, she whispered noticing that Josh was awake.
- It's okay, he chuckled and rubbed his eyes, hey, he chuckled and kissed her softly.
- Hi, Hayley murmured and kissed him back.
- I'm going to come in now, Mr. Williams warned, Hayley pulled away with a groan.
- Come on, Hayley sighed pulling Josh by the hand, he nodded and followed her to the door.
- Listen Josh, Mr.Williams said as everyone sat at the table, i'm not going to let you live here with us all the time.
- Dad, Hayley said and glared at him but Josh placed his hand on top of her to calm her down, Hayley sighed under her breath.
- Nether would i let you take Hayley to your place and i don't care if it's in here in Franklin or anywhere else, Mr.Williams continued as if he was reading down some points from a contract, Hayley kept on glaring at her father.
- Than where can he stay? Hayley asked.
- He has a place to live, Mr. Willaims said matter of factly, and i think i would trust you to be with my daughter much more if you get a job.
- You're right Mr. Williams, Josh said, i've already strated.
- Still no luck? Hayley's father asked with a bit of sarcasm.
- Daddy, Hayley hissed.
- Hayles stop, Josh said softly, i don't really have any profession, Josh said, i mean i haven't even finsihed hightschool and probably won't he added with a sign of realisation, but i can do anything, he trailled off.
- Well you better be convincing enough to whomever would want you as employe, Mr. Williams said and took a sip of his coffee.
- Thank you for understanding, Josh told Hayley's father.
- I don't trust you all that much thoug, her father answered and got out of the table. Hayley took a deep breath and started down at her food.
- Everything's not that bad, Josh whispered to her and smiled softly but she didn't replay.
- Honey, are you alright? Mrs. Williams who was sitting just across the table asked.
- Oh shit! Hayley gasped placing her hand over her mouth and running out of the kitchen, Josh chewed into his lipring understanding but Hayley's mother run after her and up the stairs.
Josh catously walked into Hayley's bedroom, she smiled at him weakly as she lay in bed, she mentioned for him to come closer.
- Feeling better? Josh asked placing a soft kiss on her forehead.
- Yes but somehow today it was worser, Hayley said and placed her hand over her baby bump, must be the stress, she whispered and looked up at him with a frown, why are you wearing your jacket, she asked in panic.
- Gonna look for a job Hayles, Josh said with a sigh, and try to see Thabitha, you know her parents were angry at her after they found out about our whole plan.
- Yeah, Hayley chewed into her lip, she doesn't deserve to be punished because of us, Hayley trailled off, Josh talk to them, please?
- Of course, don't worry, i'll knock some sence into 'em, he smiled, i'll be back soon, he kissed her softly, i love you.
- I love you too, Hayley murmured as he walked to the door, bye, she whispers before he leaves.
Hayley's feeling more safer and braver with Josh by her side, she knew that when he came back last night he would never let her parents take her away or try to ever separate them.
Hayley smiled softly and closed her eyes placing her hands over her stomach protectively, she knows that for now everything is somewhat perfect in her life.
