Chapter 7

Hayley tried her best not to cry as the stood outside Josh's house, it was already late and the sky had turned so dark that you could barely see a thing.
- Dad, Hayley whispered as he knocked on the door, dad please don't hurt him, it's all  my fault.
- We'll make everyting clear now, he muttered, the door opened and Josh stepped into the light, he looked tired and his hair messy,Hayley chewed hard into her lip, Josh looked confused at first than realized what was happening.
- Sorry for coming over that late, Mr. Williams started, may we come in, we have to talk to you.
- Sure, Josh mumbled and stepped to the side letting everyone in, Hayley smiled weakly to him and squeezed his hand lightly before following her parents into the living room.
- So you and my daughter are together? Mrs. Williams asked.
- Um, yeah, Josh said as he was sitting in the arm chair from across the Williams family, Hayley kept her gaze on the floor, she didn't dare to look into Josh's eyes because it was simply a torture.
- Tell me how it all started, Mr. Williams said sternly.
- Well i already told Mrs. Williams-
- You're going to tell me now, Mr. Williams cut him off harshly, Josh chewed into his lipring and looked down.
- On last friday there was a party and i went there because the girl i used to date wanted to go to, Josh looked up at Hayley who kept her gaze on the floor so he continued, i knew that Hayley would also be there and i was glad because she's my best friend.
- And how come your precious girlfriend hit my daughter? Mrs. Williams hissed.
- She's not my-
- She was at the time, Mrs. Williams cut him off, Josh sighed.
- Me and Alexa, well our relationship was going nowhere and she also didn't like Hayley because she though that we hung out too much together, Josh let out an other deep sigh, so at the party i went over to Hayley and we talked just like we always did.
- Did you drink? Mr. Williams asked.
- No, i don't drink.
- You can't just say that, Mr. Williams pointed out.
- Dad Josh never gets drunk ether do i, Hayley said quietly, her father shot her a look and she sighed deeply and looked down.
- Alexa got mad again as she saw us together, i was sick of it and yelled at her and she, she slapped Hayley, he chewed into his lipring again.
- And you didn't do anything? Mr. Williams asked sternly.
- I, i told her it was over and she run off, he made a face, she just made a stupid scene, i didn't even care, i went to the bathroom with Hayley-
- What for? Mrs. Williams demanded wide eyed.
- Mom, Hayley hissed.
- Let Josh talk, Mr. Williams snapped.
- Because, Josh stuttered, i just, i don't know to comfort her maybe, i mean what else? he demanded, Hayley couldn't help but to chuckle.
- Hayley, Mr. Williams snapped.
- What dad?Hayley demanded with a smile, this is ridiculous, he was comforting me, for real, why do you keep thinking about dirty stuff? Josh chuckled under his breath, Hayley glanced at him with a smile.
- So, what happened after that? Mr. Williams snapped.
- Well, we just, we admitted our feelings to each other, i was releaved because i wasn't sure if Hayley felt the same as i felt and i didn't felt wrong anymore, i didn't felt wrong to love her, he whispered, Hayley looked down and chewed into her lip.
- And? Mr. Williams pressed.
- Well we kissed and some of Alexa's friends, some girl she saw us and that's how Alexa found out.
- So because you two kissed Hayley was almost killed? Mrs. Williams exclaimed, couldn't think before doing something?
- Honey wait, i want to get this straight, Mr. Williams said, what happened after that, did you leave the party?
- Um yeah, we went over to my place, Josh mumbled.
- Why didn't you just bring Hayley home? Mr. Williams asked coldly.
- Well, Josh gulped-
- I didn't want to go home, okay? Hayley muttered as she still kept her gaze on the floor, i just wanted to stay with Josh because, because i was happy with him, he was comforting me and i just wanted to stay over at his house, she whispered and looked out of the window.
- What happened here than? Mr. Williams asked, Josh run his hand through his hair awkwardly.
- We watched a movie-
- And of course you took advantage of my innocent daughter! Mrs. Williams exclaimed, she's only a child, how could you? she demanded.
- Mrs. Williams i swear, it wasn't like that at all! Josh said with pleading eyes, Hayley chewed hard into her lip hating herself for pulling him though all of this now.
- How was it than? Mr. Williams snapped angrily.
- Well i can't, Josh stuttered, i can't tell you that, he mumbled quietly, Hayley closed her eyes and let out a soft sigh.
- What? Mr. Williams snapped, did you or did you not force my daughter to sleep with you? he demanded.
- He didn't force me! Hayley exclaimed with tears in her eyes because she couldn't and didn't want to talk about those things with her parents, it felt wrong to discuss, he haven't done anything wrong! she snapped with tears streaming down her cheeks.
- Hayley, Josh whispered as he saw the pain in her eyes, it was my fault too, he said.
- No, it wasn't your fault, it was my idea okay? Yes i wanted it! she snapped, but only because i love him, i really do! Covering her face with her hands Hayely started to sob quietly, why can't you just understand that? she yelled looking at her parents, why are you doing this to me, why?
- Hayley, Josh got up from the arm chair wanting to hug Hayley because he couldn't take to see her so broken anymore.
- Stay away from my daughter! Mr. Williams roared, you won't ever approach her, if she wasn't thinking staraigh you should've but you didn't, of course you didn't, he smiled bitterly, you're all the same, he hissed.
- That's not true, Josh snapped, i love her and i would've never dare to hurt her or use her, he said.
- Did you even use protection? Mrs. Williams demaned as she tried her best to comfort her daughter who couldn't stop crying anymore.
- We didn't, Josh whispered and looked down, i didn't really though, i mean-
- That's it! Mr. Williams snapped and got up from the couch, you won't see my daughter anymore and if you ever try, he hissed and looked into Josh's eyes, if you ever-
- Stop it dad! Hayley snapped pushing her mother away and approaching him and Josh, get away from him, she muttered slightly pushing her father away and grabbing Josh's hand.
- Hayley, Mr. Williams roared and Hayley felt that the tension was explosive.
- Let me just tell him goodbye, she muttered gripping Josh's hand tighter, please, she pressed and looked at her father, he let out a sigh.
- Fine but i'm staying here, he muttered, Hayley cussed under her breath and pulled Josh into the otehr side of the room and hugged him tight trying her best not to break down.
- I'm sorry, i'm so sorry, Josh whispered into her hair, it's all my fault, if i had broken up with that slut before none of this would've happend, he hugged Hayley tighter.
- Stop blaming yourself, it's not the right time, Hayley whispered and squeezed her eyes shut knowing it would be the last time she'll have the chance to hug him tight and to be in his arms, she knew her father had taken a decision i won't step back anymore.
- We went to Alexa's house and her dad knows now, you don't have to do anything, Hayley whispered and looked up at him, she chewed into her lip as she noticed a single tear slidding on his cheek.
- But i have to-
- No, don't, Hayley whispered and wiped his tears away, i'm scared that she might get you back though, if she wants something she's always gettig it, Hayley looked away, Josh's eyes went wide, he lifted her chin up and looked into her eyes.
- I love you Hayley, i would never be with her, i hate her, he said, Hayley smiled weakly and crushed her lips to his giving him one last passionate kiss.
- I love you, i love you so much, she whispered kissing him all over again, she didn't even care that her parents were there, she wanted them to see that her and Josh really loved each other, that it was real.
- Time's up! Mr. Williams said sternly.
- I'll find a way Hayley, i promise, Josh whispered and looked into her tear strained eyes.
- Don't, Hayley whispered with fear in her eyes, they might-
- Hayley, we're going home, Mr. Williams said sternly and grabbed her hand pulling her away from Josh, Hayley looked at him with pain in her eyes before dissapearing in the hallway. Josh stood there motionless as he heard the front door slam shut and the car driving away. For a moment he felt that it was the end, if Hayley's parents decided to separate them he would no longer have a reason to live because he really loved her but than he felt angry and mostly at himself for making some stupid decisions, for not thinking. Cussing under his breath Josh walked out of the living room, grabbing his keys he decided to take a ride on his car to calm himself down and think about everything this time.
