Holy Amazing Contests, Batman!

WELCOME TO THE BLACK PARADE...

"Now come one come all to this tragic affair... darken your clothes, or strike a violent pose... for the last time – take a good hard look... Can you see, my eyes are shinning bright, coz I’m out here on the other side"...

Tell us in 50 words or less why you were born to do this! and you could be MCR’s roadie in Singapore this December.

Do they have a point or are they way off? Let's hear your take.

Heavy Metal Music wrote this:

Slipknot fans and album fans are way more punk than My Chemical Romance or Fall Out Boy are

Let’s face it. It is commonly known punk and metal became popular because the fan bases of all those bands were social outcasts or misfits that were attracted to the music or culture. Looking back when those genres started, fans were genuine and believed in the lifestyle. Today with trendier bands like My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, their fans are social robots who are not attracted to the subculture of the underground. They are only mindlessly attracted to these bands since Hot Topic sells their clothes and their local radio station play the stuff. Ugh! Slipknot is rarely played on the radio. Their fan base seems to be the laughing stock of society thus they become the true misfits of the current subculture based on their attitude and how they dress. Thus today’s true punk are fans of bands like Slipknot. Maybe even your goth enemy.

NME Sheds A Little More Light On Frank's Absence

My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero has dropped out of the band's world tour, leaving them with just three full-time members.

Iero left the tour following Sunday's show (November 11) in Newcastle after learning of a family member's illness.

He will be temporarily replaced by guitar tech Matt Cortez, who already has experience up on stage. It was he who stood in on bass for Mikey Way when he took a six-month hiatus from the band earlier this year after getting married.

However, this latest news leaves My Chemical Romance with only Gerard and Mikey Way, plus lead guitarist Ray Toro, as the only permanent members on the current tour.

Drummer Bob Bryar is already having sit dates out after persistent wrist complaint became worse. Bryar is still travelling with the band however, assisting with the show's pyrotechnics.

He is being replaced by "a friend of ours named Pete who plays in another band, so has asked us kindly not to say the name," according to Gerard Way.

The singer assured NME.COM that fans will still get a full throttle, if slightly altered, MCR experience: "We've been through a lot of stuff on this record, dealt with life situations and stuff. Ultimately it's gonna be a little different and look a little different, but we're ready for this."

My Chemical Romance's sold-out UK tour continues at London's 02 Arena tomorrow (November 15) before moving on to Belfast.

Touring till March? Good times...

Gerard gives us a little nugget of the future of MCR.  He's saying now that they'll probably tour until March of 2008. This is alot better than what I had last heard which was till December 2007.  He also says not to expect a record until 2009.  That's pretty much what I was expecting so no big surprise there but it should reassure those who are worrying that MCR isn't coming back at all.
