drop your guard, you don't have to be smart all of the time
A fun fact about myself? I run a music blog called Music Induced Euphoria, and, since the Strokes returned to studio in February 2009, I have been posting daily Strokes posts alongside my concert and record reviews.
Live music is my absolute favourite thing in the world, because not only can you witness firsthand the impeccable skill of your favourite musicians (and their ability to improvise!), but the atmosphere is always intoxicating. Whether I'm swaying to Andrew Bird or thrashing to Black Lips, I feel at home at concerts. I also really love catching up with the musicians afterwards.
If I could interview Julian, I would ask him about his tattoos (if he got the treble clef because it looks like his initials or if he designed the initials based on the treble clef; what his first tattoo was; what text he has underneath his spider). I would also be interested to know how he feels about the internet/online communities and if he googles himself.
A concert photo I am proud of is the one below of Nicholaus Arson from The Hives’ SF show in February 2008. One of my favourite things about Hives concerts are Nicholaus’ facial expressions, he’s so dramatic and funny.
This one is from when I hung out backstage after a Little Joy gig in SF in December 2009
