"Personal Jesus" is Depeche Mode's twenty-third UK single, released on August 29, 1989, and the first single from the then upcoming album Violator. Since then, the title song has been covered by numerous artists. It was the first hit from the album, reaching #13 on the UK Singles Chart.
The song was inspired by the book Elvis and Me by Priscilla Presley. According to songwriter Martin Gore:
"It's a song about being a Jesus for somebody else, someone to give you hope and care. It's about how Elvis was her man and her mentor and how often that happens in love relationships; how everybody's heart is like a god in some way, and that's not a very balanced view of someone, is it?"
In 2004, "Personal Jesus" was ranked #368 in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time [2], and in September 2006 it was voted as one of the "100 Greatest Songs Ever" in Q magazine. ~ From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Halloween is around the corner, and if your idea of a costume is buying the big rainbow pack of Sharpies at the office supply store and going to town on your own epidermis, you might be thinking of going as one of your favorite lady rockers or music personalities.
Who's worth the trouble of hours of doodling on yourself (or enlisting the aid of friends if you aren't an ardent Yoga practitioner who can artistically reach the middle of your own back) and the possibility that your costume might rub off before the end of the festivities?

This poll was inspired by pictures posted by Breesays of the people who attended the Cloverfeild premier. Among actors/actresses such as Linsey Lohan, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Zachary Quinto were the likes of Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes and Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy with girlfriend, Ashlee Simpson.
Today it seems that the line between musician and celebrity seem to be blurred more and more all the time. And not only on the red carpet or at Hollywood events but everywhere. The other day 'rising musical acts' such as All Time Low were being name dropped on the E! channel and Pete Wentz has been featured on the cover of many popular magazines. The gossip seems to be steering away from just celebrities and concentrating on musicians. What do you think?
"Sugar and spice and everything nice' definitely describes these ladies! But who is the sweetest and nicest girl on this list? Who deserves to be called The Nicest Girl of 2007 and claim the top spot on Santa's nice list?
