HIM TOUR '07

Alright, my name is Eryn. I am and have been a dedicated HIM fan since I first heard their sweet, sweet ear candy in 1994(or 1995) I don't remember which ^_^. I went to their concert in Dallas and absolutely loved it...however I was disappointed in the small (but extremely dedicated) crowd that was there. Then I started to think...Have I ever heard a HIM song played on my local rock stations? And the answer that I got back after days of picking my brain was a resounding NO! That urked me so much that I have desided to start a HIM push week. I am already starting a colaberation with a few HIM Street Teams and Internet Rock radio stations. Soon I will (hopefully) have a week set aside for this push week.

What is going to happen is we are going to set aside a week and advertise for sometime before telling all HIM fans to call their local radio stations and demand that HIM be played! If you would like to help please message me either here on buzznet.com or on my myspace www.myspace.com/spur58_gurl

Before I make a fool of myself, I must say, I'm not sure that I'm doing this right. Now that that's been said..

I just (Well, Bout a half an hour ago) Checked my inbox on Buzznet. In it, Sat a message from Kron, A fine member of the buzznet staff. In the subject? "Congratulations GRAND PRIZE WINNER!!"

Needless to say, My jaw hit the key board, and suddenly, a chorus of "Oh my god, Oh my god, OH MY GOD!!" Rang out. With shaking hands, I opened it, and seconds later, I lost my breath.

I'm a pessimistic type of person, and I questioned my entry the second I hit post, but, it turns out.. It was all in vein! It's been just under an hour since I found out, and my hands are still shaking, and my cheeks are burning red.

Thank you [[Soooo muuuuuch]] Karen and Buzznet staff (Or whomever else helped in choosing), You just made my year!

It's 6:30 p.m. Finland time and Ville Valo is at his home in Helsinki just after returning from Spain. He's been on a lengthy press tour, but it is nearly over and on October 18th he will begin the HIM Tour in the U.S.

Ville just chatted with Buzznet and told us all about Venus Doom, his family and what inspires him.  He also offered us insight into his celebrity friendships (Kat Von D and Bam -- to name a few).

While his bandmates are avid chess players, Ville's passionate about books.  He's currently reading Rat Scabies and The Holy Grail -- which he referred to as "the punk rock treatment on the DaVinci Code."  Edgar Allan Poe is another one of his favorites to read in his spare time, especially on airplanes. 

When I asked Ville to describe Venus Doom in three-to-five words, he responded, "Love. Metal. Again." Way to be cryptic, Ville! But its always been your enigmatic side that draws us to you so.

He grew up listening to ACDC, Iron Maiden and Peter Steel from Type O Negative, he tells us. He's also been a big fan of Reggae since his teens and has alot of Jamaican idols -- such a fan in fact that at age 14 he started to grow dreadlocks.

Ville's very much a family man and when asked what he misses most when he's away from home, he quickly responded "....my guitar.....my mom, my dad and my little brother." Words of wisdom to all of you from this Rock God, "Keep on reading your books and be nice to your parents!"

For all of you who wear contact lenses, put 'em away and break out your glasses....Ville's likes his girls in frames (wink wink).
