5 Songs That Changed My Life

5 Songs That Changed My Life

1. On The Death Of The Waters - Shearwater

I don't think any other song has made me jump so high before, and not because of a loud bass line. The powerful instrumental halfway through blew me away (almost literally). It really is a masterful piece, and I can visualize the crashing waves in my head when I listen to it. Definitely worth it.

2. Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd

I don't think much needs to be said about this song. Seeing it in the movie just makes it so much stronger than it already is. I could listen to this on repeat for days. Find me a better melodic line.

3. Tiny Dancer - Elton John

Another great melodic line, such a feel-good song. First Elton John song I've ever heard and still my favourite.

4. Fitter, Happier - Radiohead

Not sure if this would qualify as a "song", but it is to me. Man, I love the ending of the song.. really has a thing or two to say about society and its inability to let each other live peacefully, building our own morals, and shaping our own lives.

5. Because - The Beatles

So soothing, simple, and yet.. so complicated! God, the harmonies in this song are mind-blowing! Actually, the Across the Universe version isn't too bad either, but we all know who started it. This list wouldn't have been complete without at least one Beatles song stuck in here somewhere.
