Karl Lagerfeld Teams Up With Japanese Makeup Brand
Shu Uemura is a high end beauty brand founded and named after the late Japanese makeup artist Shu Uemura. Now, famous fashion designer, photographer and owner of the cutest kitty, Karl Lagerfeld has teamed up with the brand to create a gorgeous and fun makeup collection.
The Collection will range from $27 to $350 so there's a little of something for everyone. Karl Lagerfeld has designed all the packaging for the products and also the collections logo aswel as being heavily involved in the products themselves. The logo is a beautiful sketch that Lagerfeld drew himself using eyeshadow from Shu Uemura and is his own version of Japanese Manga! The range has so many wonderful products from lipsticks to nail stickers (inspired by Japanese Street Fashion), a makeup box and some OTT False Eyelashes made from red and black fabric.

Above is the sketch Karl Lagerfeld drew for the packaging. He called her 'Mon Shu' and said "I wanted to invent my personal vision of a Japanese manga"

A sneak peek of the eyelashes.

I have to say, I'm really looking forward to seeing this collection. Karl Lagerfeld and Shu Uemura were both huge fans of one another so it will be lovely to see the final products come to life. Lagerfeld even keeps a sketch pad with some Shu Uemura products next to his bed so he can sketch with them, he says "it's better than pastel; nobody has colors like that"!
What do think of this collaboration? Are you a fan of the cute packaging? The Collection will be out just in time for Christmas so keep a look out (^_^)
