"Table of Dreams'
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Sebastian Masuda have come together once again to create an amazing exhibition in 'Time Out Cafe Gallery' in Ebisu :-) The pair have been working together a lot throughout the year, coming up with amazing visual art. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu first worked with Masuda (fashion designer of the famous Japanese Kawaii Label 6%DokiDoki) in her first ever music video 'Pon Pon Pon', from then on, they have become great friends and an amazing artistic team :-) They have recently visited Los Angeles in an attempt to bring Jpop and JCulture to America...i'm a little gutted i couldn't have been there, the reviews have been incredible :-)
So, the video above is their latest collaboration. The 'Table of Dreams' is an installation with a theme of 'Christmas with Friends'. It is a part of the Japanese non-profit charity (also called 'Table of Dreams') in an attempt to make the world a better place and helping to form better human relationships through the act of sharing food. Memories are made through food, meals with friends, family events etc...and this installation is a chance for Pamyu Pamyu and Masuda to unleash their artistic insanity and show you how they see 'Christmas with Friends' :-)
The work is visually amazing and so full of abstract, 'Alice in Wonderland' like ideas and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu also performed inside it. She also did a Q&A with Masuda and discussed their past projects. I hope that you like the video :-)
