I Won't Forget Demi's Concert in Hershey, PA 8/21/09

I feel the gravel underneath my sneakers vibrate as the booming beats of Jordan Pruitt's soulful songs blast through the speakers. Her strong beautiful voice, sends chills down everyone's spines. I even catch a glimpse of a young girl's father nodding his head to the beat. Who knew that such a tiny girl could have such a powerful voice?

I'm distracted from my thoughts when a roar of screaming girls errupts throught the Pavillion. David Archuleta dressed in a simple scarf, jeans, and tshirt runs out from behind the stage. Everyone is up out of their seats waving and screaming in hopes that this cute "Idol" will look their way. Laughing during "Zero Gravity" as his bandmates get pies to the face (last day prank) and mentioning how pretty the sunset was after just about every song made me fall in love, this kid was adorable and not to mention incredibly talented, if it were up to me, he would've won American Idol. He ended his set with his hit song, "Crush", he had me smiling the whole time. David, you have a new fan, me!

It's dark in this outside stadium. The projecter screen goes black and an explosion of purple lights hit the stage. The crowd goes wild, I begin to get butterflies, here it is. The moment I've been waiting for. The band walks out on stage, the screams go up an octave. The first few notes of "La La Land" begin to play. The screams go up three octaves. Here she is. Demi Lovato appears from the underneath the stage. Piercing screams are all that could be heard. She looked absolutely stunning. I am confident, but I still have my moments baby...that's just me. Everyone, even moms and dads are up out of their seats to see this singing sensation. I fumble with my camera to get a picture of her, but I can't keep my hands steady, this is all too surreal. My role model, my inspiration, Demi Lovato is 26 rows ahead of me. This can't be happening. I scream, shout, jump, and rock out as if no one is watching. Demi tells us her story about how her first concert was here, at Hershey Park, one year ago. Only 10 people showed up to see her. She explained how her life has changed so much, and how she's never been happier and it's because of us. As she began to tear up, so did I. I was so proud of her and how far she's come. She began to play the chords of Don't Forget, sending the crowd into hysteria once again. Before the rock section she stops and says, "I swear I just felt a raindrop...this is just like the music video! WHOA!" and with that the rock music plays as the rain falls, just like her music video. The feeling of everyone together for the sole purpose of enjoying Demi's music was indescribable. We all felt a connection, it was evident. It's a feeling I will never forget, each person felt a special connection with Demi, she has an amazing stage presence that makes you feel as though she's singing directly at you. I can honestly say, I've never had more fun at any concert.

Omaha was definitely lovin' Demi Lovato

There is no doubt that Jordan Pruitt and David Archuleta are fantastic vocalists. Too bad I didn’t get a chance to see them perform live – I arrived at the arena just minutes after David wrapped up his set and the stage crew was fixing things up for Demi’s performance.

It’s a pretty crazy story actually, how I got there late and everything, but I won’t drone on and bore you guys with that. Just know that running around pretty much the entire length of the Qwest Center in a dress and two inch heels is not a fun experience for your butt or feet. But anyways…

My sister and I finally got to the arena, grateful that they were in the middle of a set change and Demi hadn’t taken center stage yet. So we look around for our seats: section 103, row seven, seats 1 and 2 (AMAZINGLY CLOSE, especially to the catwalk, by the way. Thank you Buzznet!), to find a grandmother and her four grandkids in our spots. After we kindly inform them that they are in our seats, we find out that one of the kids told their grandma they were in the wrong spot just so they could get a closer view, and complained the whole time about moving, which I found utterly ridiculous seeing as they LIED, but anyhow, the situation worked itself out.

After twenty minutes of waiting impatiently, the lights dimmed and white fog came from the top of the stage.

Fans screamed their hearts out (some to the point of vocal inabilities) as Disney superstar Demi Lovato rose on a platform from underneath the stage, singing La La Land, off of her debut album, Don’t Forget. She totally owned the crowd in a lime green tee, black skinny jeans, studded white vest, and silver necklace – very rocker chic, she looked killer.

Just an FYI: if you think Demi sounds great on TV or whatever, she’s soooooooo much better in person, take my word for it. Demi went on to sing So Far So Great from “Sonny with a Chance,” Gonna Get Caught, U Got Nothing On Me (which totally pumped the crowd, it was awesome), and Party. Before she sang Catch Me, Demi said that it was the song most dear to her off of Here We Go Again, since it was the first song that made the cut to be on the record and because she wrote it herself. Once lyric change she made was instead of saying, “but tonight I might fall too fast under this beautiful moonlight,” she sang, “but tonight I might fall too soft under this beautiful moonlight.”

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to stay for the rest of the show; I

had to leave while Demi was in the middle of This is Me. Like I said, it’s a long story. But even though I only got to stay for 45 minutes, I have to say it was one of the most amazing experiences. I can’t believe I got to hear and see freaking Demi Lovato sing live and in person! Unbelievable. THANK YOU Buzznet for making August 15, 2009 a day to remember!

Demi Lovato Crushes Michigan!

The show started off at exactly 7:00 p.m. with the wonderful Jordan Pruitt. I had never seen her in concert before, but I was very impressed. She sang about 4 songs. I totally forgot I knew them. So, of course, I sang along!

Then the very cute David Archuleta came out. He sang 8 songs & has a very beautiful voice. David was one of the best performers I have ever seen!

Then finally the moment we all had been waiting for, Demi Lovato! She started off with “La La Land” & looked amazing. She then went on to perform “So Far So Great” & “Gonna Get Caught”. Then she taught us “You Got Nothin On Me”, that was very cool. The cam “Party” & “Trainwreck”, which got the crown very excited.

Demi Then told us that the next song “Catch Me” was her baby on the album & that she hoped that we liked it & of course everyone did! One of the best part was when she brought her little sister Madison on stage to sing “This is me”. They were so cute together! The next songs were “Until You’re Mine” & “Solo”. Then she told us that she wrote this next song, “Stop The World” with her friend Nick…everyone screamed. Then she said, “Yep, he’s a Jonas Brother”. It was funny.

The next 2 songs were very personal. She dedicated “Two Worlds Collide” to all of the Best Friends in the audience. And then it was time for her “Natural Women” cover, which she dedicated to her mom, it was very sweet of her to do.

Then Demi sang “Everytime You Lie”. She got so distracted by a little girl dancing in the audience, that she forgot the words. She apologized after the song. She then sang “Remember December” & “Here We Go Again”, which she dedicated to the parents & told them to dance foolishly to embarrass their kids.

Her Encore was amazing as well. She came back out & sang “Don’t Forget” & “Get Back”. Needless to say, the night was the best night ever! IT made my whole summer. Thank You Buzznet!!!

Demi did NOT disappoint MI on 8/18

Last night I attended Demi's show in Clarkson, MI. It started a little rough because there was a ticket situation at will call and not having the buzznet contest tickets. Luckily I had my confirmation email, so they gave me tickets regardless of if they had them set aside or not. My friend and I went to our seats, and the show began shortly after. Jordan Pruitt opened up, and she can SING. I had seen Jordan perform once before, but I had forgotten how her voice sounded live. She sang for 15 minutes and then there was a short intermission.

After the intermission David Archuleta performed. I guess I never understood how tiny he is. He was wearing jeans, a v-neck and a vest. His fans are INSANE! They are so die hard and at least half of the guests at the show were there just to see David perform for 45 minutes. David covered One Republics "Apologize" and sang the song "Zero Gravity" which I had never heard before. "Zero Gravity" was such a great song. everyone was rocking out for David!

Finally the moment I had been waiting for arrived. The lights went out, the band walked out, and the music started. Demi appeared in the center rising from the floor. She had on jeans, a yellow shirt, and a white vest. Her set was amazing and it was so exciting to hear her perform her new songs! I was sad that she did not play "quiet" because that is one of my favorites off the new album, but other than that her set list was great! During "This is Me" she asked her sister Madison on stage to perform with her, but she must not have warned Madison before because Demi said "Sorry, I should have asked you earlier."  It was adorable and they both seemed so happy to be around each other. There have been a lot of rumors circulating on Demi's unhappiness, but I think it was just because she misses her family because they are not always on tour with her.All of that unhappiness seemed to go away last night when she had her Mom, Sister, and Dog on the side of the stage watching the whole show! She ended the show with an encore of "Don't Forget" and "Get Back"- everyone went crazy! She had great energy, a great connection with her audience, and her voice was strong. It was a great show and I cannot wait to see Demi again live.
