Son Of DorkSON OF DORK
Son of Dork were a British pop-punk band that was formed by ex-Busted member James Bourne after his band had split in early 2005. During late 2005- early 2006, son of dork release two singles title 'ticket outta loserville' and 'eddie's song'. These two singles topped the charts and were followed a few weeks later with the bands debut album 'Welcome to Loserville'. In early 2007, the band signed to Bourne's self-created record company named Sic Puppy Records. During this time, the band also toured with the likes of bands such as Bowling For Soup, Wheatus and Army of Freshmen in the Get Happy '07 Tour. In July 2007, guitarist Dave Williams announced over the bands myspace that the the band had split. Later in October 2007, Chris Leonard announced that he too was leaving and was later followed by the departure of Steve Rushton. After the bands split, each member began to do their own thing with Dave Williams starting a new band named Kobe, Steve Rushton leaving Britain to move to America where he later recorded the theme song to the Disney show, Suite Life on Deck and eventually got a part in the Hannah Montanna movie to have two of his songs on the movies soundtrack.
