Electrico
Ever since I've joined this group, I've always wondered which of my favourite bands to write about. But after I've listened to Everybody's here by Electrico, a pop rock and indie band from Singapore, I've decided to do this write up on them because firstly, I'm Singaporean and secondly, I think that they're a very talented band. Electrico was formed under the name Electric Company in 1996 when David Tan, Keith Colaco, Desmond Goh and William Lim Jr. got together for an event at their church. But due to the lack of support for local music and some problems which caused Colaco to leave, Electric Company disbanded. However, in 2003, Tan, Goh and Lim was joined by Daniel Sassoon, from another defunct local band, and together with keyboardist Amanda Ling, who was talent- scouted, shortened the band's name from Electric Company to Electric Co. and finally Electrico. They then proceeded to release their debut album, So Much More Inside, in August 2004 which sold over 3000 copies to date at retail stores and gigs. Also, their debut single, I want you, shot to No. 1 on Singapore radio station 987fm Top20 weekly countdown charts. With already 3 great albums released, one can only wonder what they'll bring on their next one. So do give them a try! Related Groups:

Even though Singapore's English music scene is really quite low-profile (currently, anyway...), I'm proud of Electrico (: I like them muchly.
