Local Arkansas kids Josh Ercanbrack and Hunter Mann are very creative. Neither have the typical rap look, but both are talented in a new way. Ercanbrack, 18, from Star City, Arkansas got together with Hunter Mann in August of '08, they decided to make a rap band and call it 870 Thugz. Mann, 14, from Hermitage, Arkansas immediately jumped on the idea. The 870 Thugz are still in their beginning stages, but they have a really promising future ahead of them.

The 870 Thugz have not produced any albums, but already have 3 songs finished on their myspace and more to come. This band is any interesting mix between rap, indie, screamo, and anyhting else they decide to throw into the mix; quote from the 870 Thugz themselves. I admit that there is nothing I've heard like the 870 Thugz and definitely won't here anything like them for a long time if ever. The only shows they are playing right now are local shows, but I'm sure that they would love to step up to bigger shows eventually. You won't regret listening to them. Their lyrics are great and make me laugh.
