From the time author Bruce Bethke first coined the term "Cyberpunk" in 1982, what Time Magazine once described as "A new counterculture... surfing the dark edges of the computer age" has spread to describe a dystopian spectrum of music, literature, film, social & political theory, style and subculture from the science fiction of William Gibson to Max Headroom and The Matrix, to electronica, industrial and EBM.
