Justin Timberlake received a lot of flack after calling Britney a bitch before singing “Cry Me A River” during a pre-Superbowl performance.

He “apologized” soon after, citing he didn’t mean any disrespect towards Brit. Yeah, yeah, yeah…

The reason for his outburst, according to Famous magazine, is because Brit’s been blowing up his phone since her split from Jason Trawick.

“Britney’s been feeling sad and alone,” says a friend to the tab. “One night she got so desperate she picked up the phone and called Justin to spill her heart out – and she hasn’t stopped contacting him since.”
