When Emma Watson chopped her lovely Hermione Granger locks to a pixie cut in 2010, there was tons of talk about the Harry Potter actress' tresses. Most of it was praise - after all, not very many ladies can pull off that look. While many loved it, some also hated it and some just started rumors that the haircut was actually a statement on her sexuality. Whaaaat?!
Emma reveals to The Independent: "I had journalists asking me if [my haircut] meant I was coming out, if I was a lesbian now," she said, rolling her eyes. "That haircut did make me realize how subjective everyone's opinion is. Some people were crazy for it and some people just thought I'd lost my s--t."
What did she learn from the experience? "All I can do is follow my instincts because I'll never please everyone," she said.
Bravo Emma! All that matters is how you feel about your decisions.
"As I've got older, and since I cut all my hair off, I've felt a bit more liberated about trying different things out," Emma concluded.
