I Really Can't Get Into This............But Somebody Change my Mind

So here's your chance to persuade us all that the films that you like to watch are really worth our time and effort. Example: I love foreign language films but have never really got into Asian horror, or I really like to watch comedy but if I never see another Jim Carey/Adam Sandler film in my life it will be too soon. So, in this topic, list the genre you hate to watch or are disappointed by and we'll roll with it. All it takes is one post and I'm sure your opinions will keep on coming so to get things started:

Kevin Smith (Silent Bob) makes amazing comedies, crude but with a bit of heart too. You could try Zack and Miri Make a Porno if you haven't seen it already.

Other than that I'd just suggest staying with Judd Apatow films with Seth Rogen. I find they're more amusing than American Pie teen movies that just have an assload of unnecessary nudity, and obnoxious characters that aren't even funny. =/ Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a favourite of mine ;]

I'd like an animated movie that isn't going to make me cry.

And a romantic comedy that isn't cheesy and doesn't follow the same formula as everything else. That is - boy meets girl, girl helps boy with something, they fall in love, girl finds out boy was using her, they break up, then eventually he apologises, redeems himself, and all is well. So yeah, no Music and Lyrics type stuff >_>

I like suspenseful movies... ones that border on Horror, but I hate gore and blood and all that.

I can't really get into The Royal Tenenbaums / The Life Aquatic / those kinds of movies...

Bree. I reccomennd the movie Stay, (Starring Ryan Gosling and Ewan McGreggor) Also, Identity( Starring John Cusack) Those two movies are so nail biting with out the blood and guts.
Although I warn you that Stay can be VERY confusing. Make sure you watch it once, figure out what the hale was going on, then watch it again. It makes much more sense then =D

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Of Mind is the most unconventional rom-com you will ever see and it's incredibly sweet :)

Me too. I love animated movies, but all of them eventually make me blubber like a cow. It's kind of embarrassing in a theater when a 4-year-old is reassuring me. I did okay with Happy Feet, and I loved the Adelie Amigos; but, yea, the idea of Mumble not having a heartsong and not being able then to find true love kept me misty-eyed throughout the whole thing. I liked the Incredibles and Mulan. Those didn't make me cry. Have you seen the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie? Laughed so hard I pissed myself...Chris Katan's voice as Walter Melon at the end...OMG...OMG...
