Blink-182 Reunites After Travis Barker And DJ AM's Performance At The T-Mobile Party
Paramount Studios backlot last night was the backdrop for one of LA’s biggest music events of 2009. T-MOBILE’s Party Celebrating the launch of the new Sidekick LX™ had performances from TRV$DJ-AM (Travis Barker and DJ AM), Peanut Butter Wolf, Weezer and surprise guest Blink-182.

TRV$DJ-AM have an incredible connection on stage and it really evokes their audience (myself included) to feel the energy. Their connection was completely exposed in their performance last night. It was even easy to get a little sentimental at moments, reflecting on what could have been a really unfortunate loss if either of the boys wouldn't have been able to perform again after their plane crash last year.
TRV$DJ-AM are a party thrilling duo, similar to Girl Talk, they are crowd pleasing players. Celebrities from Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson to Pink and Kelly Osbourne all watched from their VIP boxes the back to back unbelievable performances. Also spotted among the people was Hunter Burgan, Shannon Leto and Nicky Hilton.

DJ AM mixed songs ranging from MGMT to Hall & Oates while Barker delivered an unbelievable performance on the drums, even he couldn't help but stand up at times. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, out pops Warren G to make a cameo for his own song 'Regulators'. Oh yes, it was a clear black night ...

As TRV$DJ-AM wrapped up their set, Travis closed with a little drumroll (yes, I said drumroll please), transitioning directly into Blink-182's first reunion show since 2005. Yes Kelly Osbourne having bleach blonde hair was quite shocking, but watching Blink-182 reunite with a 3 song set was by far the highlight of the evening. Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus and Tom De Longe hashed their animosity towards one another earlier in 2009 and when they said Blink-182 Summer 2009, they meant it. Ladies and gentleman, Blink is back and they are ready to bring it.

If you didn't get to attend this epic T-Mobile party on 5/14/09 at the Paramount lot, don't even sweat it. Weezer who closed the party with a performance will also be hitting the road with Blink-182 this summer. Blink-182 will be taking out Fall Out Boy, Weezer, All-American Rejects and a few other acts on select dates throughout their Summer/Fall 2009 Tour.
