"Seize The Day" (M. Shadows)

          Chapter 3: The Set Up Scheme                                           

"That! That is so unfair... This is a set-up." I said.

"Well you going to have to sing either way." said M. Shadows.

"Never!" I exclaimed sounding like a little kid who is running away from his mom just because he doesn't want to take his medicine. The guys found this amusing and laughed.

"I guess you really are a bad singer." taunted M. Shadows.

"I am not!"

"Then prove it."

"But... I... Oh forget about it. Fine." I started to play the intro of 'M.I.A.' then the Gates and Zacky joined in with their guitars, Johnny with his bass, and Rev with the drums.

"Ladies first." said M. Shadows with a smile on his face.

"You’re going to pay..." I said shaking my head with disagreement. Then I started to sing...

Staring at the carnage, praying that the sun will never rise.
Living another day in disguise.
These feelings can't be right, lend me your courage to stand up and fight, ohh tonight.

Ooooo...
Stand up and fight.

The fighting rages on and on, to challenge me you must be strong.
I walk your land but don't belong, two million soldiers can't be wrong.

It's no fun, but I've been here before.
I'm far from home and I'm fighting your war.
(Not the way I pictured this, I wanted better things) [Zacky and Gates sing this part]
Some are scared others killing for fun, I shot a mother right in front of her son.
(Take this from my consciousness and please erase my dreams) [Zacky and Gates sing this part]

Fight for honor, fight for your life.
Pray to god that our side is right.
And though we won I still may lose, until I make it home to you.
I see our mothers filled with tears, grew up so fast where did those years go?
Memories won't let you cry, unless I don't return tonight.'

M. Shadows looked at me in shock. I smirked at him. Then M. Shadows removed the shock expression on his face and began to sing the next part...

'So many soldiers on the other side, I take their life so they can't take mine.
(Scared to make it out alive now murders all I know.) [Zacky and Gates sing this part]
Nobody tells me all the reasons were here, I have my weapon so there's nothing to fear.
(Another day another life but nothing real to show for.) [Zacky and Gates sing this part]

Then I sang the next part…

Then M. Shadows sang the next…

‘Watching the death toll rise wondering how I'm alive.
Strangers blood on my hands, shot all I can.
There were no silent nights watching your brothers all die
To destroy all their plans with no thought of me. (No thought of me) [Zacky and Gates sing this part]
No thought of me.

Then the Guitar solos and interludes were played by Gates and Zacky…

Then M. Shadows and I sang the last part…

‘Whoaaaa...
We walk the city lonely, memories that haunt are passing by,
A murderer walks your streets tonight.
Forgive me for my crimes.
Don't forget that I was so young, fought so scared.
In the name of God and Country.’

When the song ended Natalie was clapping and jumping up and down. “That was AWESOME!!! The both of you sound awesome when it comes to a duet. Jackie you never told me that you could sing.”

 “Well I guess you found out now.” I answered.

 “Yeah… Thanks to me.” Laughed M. Shadows, “Didn’t you say I was going to pay?”

 “Yes. WITH YOUR BEHIND BEING KICKED WITH MY FOOT!!!” M. Shadows darted out the door and I ran after him. The rest of the guys and Natalie tried ran out of the room running after us to see what was going to happen. I followed M. Shadows out of the lobby to the parking lot and he ran toward the bus. “Get back here M. Shadows!!!” I could hear Zacky and Gates laughing from behind.

 “I have got to see Shads being kicked in the rear by a girl.” Said Johnny.

I increased my speed in running and was able to catch up with M. Shadows. Then M. Shadows looked over his shoulder to see me about a foot away from him. “Oh man!” He started to turn left as he got near the end of the bus. I made a left turn as well.

After a few minutes I noticed that we were running around and around the bus non-stop, so I got in the bus and waited at the entrance door. And the minute he passed by the door I jumped out from behind him and kicked him in the rear.

Ooo’s and OMG’s were heard from Gates, Zacky, Johnny, The Rev, and even Natalie herself! M. Shadows stopped running and walked back towards me. He took a deep breath and said, “We’re even.” Then he walked inside the bus while putting his hand on his behind. Then he poked his head out the door and said, “Ow… Geez girl, you sure kick hard. At least you didn’t punch me in the stomach or something; I believe that would be much worse pain than it is right now if you were to do that.”

 “Did I hurt you badly?” I stuck my tongue out at him. “Sorry if I did.”

 “No not much to worry about… Ow… I fine…” said M. Shadows as he went back inside the bus.

I turned around and looked at the Natalie and the others who were laughing. Johnny was rolling on the floor laughing and Zacky and Gates were laughing so much that tears were coming from their eyes.

“HA! HA! HA! Nice one Jackie!” Yelled the Rev while giving two thumbs up.

I smiled and all of a sudden someone jumped on my back.

“I’m back.” said M. Shadows

“Dude, Shads get off my back your too heavy for me to carry. I’m going to FALL!! WHOA!” and sure enough I fell backwards and landed on top of M. Shadows. We both got up and started laughing and others were laughing harder. Even Natalie found it funny.
