We Got There In The End - Chapter 16

Alex D’s POV

“No! Absolutely not!” I yelled

“Why not?!” Kenzie yelled back

“Because, we’ve hardly seen you these past three weeks and I want to hang out with you before we go back on tour”

“But Alex wants me to go with him to LA for the break”

“I don’t care” I snapped “yes he’s your boyfriend now, but I’m your friend and he’s going to be working the whole time anyway” I reasoned “just stay home for two weeks and then he can steal you again on tour like he did on this one” I bargained bitterly

“You’re acting like a child” she sighed

“No I’m not” I mumbled crossing my arms

“You’ll be busy too” she said suddenly “I’m sure you and the guys want to hang out and I don’t really want to be there when you bring girls home”

“The guys want to hang out with you too, and there aren’t any girls to bring home” I wasn’t going to let Alex get his way, not this time

“Alex” she whined sitting down next to me

“Please Kenz? Please don’t go. If you miss him that much you can go to LA for a few days, but stay with me the rest of the time. I still haven’t shown you around properly” I tried.

“Fine” she agreed “I’ll tell Alex”

“Thank you” I hugged her as she pulled out her phone

“I still don’t understand why you’re not coming with me” I rolled my eyes when I heard Alex’s voice from Kenzies bunk

“Because Alex is right. I’ve hardly hung out with them these past three weeks and you’ll be working anyway, so there’s really no point”

“But I want you there” he whined and I almost gagged when I heard her giggle and his moan. This is just another reason I wanted them apart for a few weeks. I didn’t want to think of them having sex, and I wasn’t sure if they were, but I hoped they weren’t. I didn’t want them that involved. Call me selfish, or jealous but Kenzie was ours first and Alex just came in and stole her from us. It wasn’t fair.

“I’ll make you a deal” she said after a while “we’ll wait a week and then I’ll come up for a few days, then go back home and I’ll meet you back on tour”

“Fine, so long as you leave your guard dog in Vegas” he complained and I couldn’t help but smile at my small victory. Now all I had to do was distract her enough that she wouldn’t want to go to LA at all.

“I wouldn’t let either of them catch you smiling like that” Marsh kicked me under the table “You shouldn’t take so much pleasure in keeping them apart”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about” I sniffed

“Sure you don’t. I see what’s really going on Alexander DeLeon, don’t think I’m stupid”

“Well call me stupid, cause I have no idea what you’re referring too” I grinned at him

“Alex” he shook his head

“I’m thinking a nice road trip to the Grand Canyon. Spend a few days there, that should distract her for a while” I mused

“See you later” Alex kissed her in front of me before saying bye to Marsh and walking off the bus. I couldn’t help myself so I barked like a dog at him, and he slammed the door.

“Why?” she asked sitting next to me with a disapproving frown on her face

“It’s what guard dogs do” I answered then growled at the door

“Cut it out” she warned “Good doggie” she praised, when I lay my head on her shoulder.
