you know you're from California when you live near the beach, mountains, and city.
I'm pretty much done with Nursing school. I've been relaxing. Which feels very odd to me. I'm always rushing hangouts or events to go home and study or go to bed to wake up early for the morning to study. Thats just habit.
Finally get to hang out with one of my best friends model/ makeup artist Jalanis Fishe.
Right after the last day of Nursing school we went over to Surfin Yogurt in Ventura to grab some froyo. And then just hang out, caught up with our lives.
Its good to have friends again after spending a year and a half studying....haha :p
The next day felt nice to be able to sleep in. I GOT TO SLEEP IN. Normally, my life was 2 or 4 days out of the week to wake up at 4:30 am, get ready, and do cinicals at 6:30. Time of getting up normally ranges from where the clinical location was at. So, its pretty freaking rad to just sleep in and hang out in my room procrastinating.
I had a night to myself drinking Jack n Coke. <3

I'm normally not one to drink alone. I find it pathetic to drink by yourself, quite to be honest. So while doing so I was talking to a good friend from back home via Instant Message :)
Saturday the bff Jalanis Fishe came over and practiced makeup.

Afterwards we went out to Backyard Bowls in Santa Barbara. They have a new flavor called Mocha Java Bowl. Which tried out. And superrr delicious!!!
This is us making silly faces.

Jalanis got the Berry Bowl.

Mocha Java Bowl.
We totally missed out on Solcetice, which is an every year deal in Santa Barbara. But it was still a bit festive downtown.

The security guard at Joes Cafe had this on the back of his shirt. I had to take a picture of it.
his response after i showed him the picture I took: "Oh my gawd, thats my back? It looks BIG!"
goodness :p even security guards have issues

So basically. After living and surviving in Santa Barbara for 3 years. without this. They're finally having a 99cent store. It's going to be located downtown. It's gonna be busy 24/7. I can already tell.
Yesterday
Warped Tour in Ventura. I was working for Peta. Which was a complete blast!
It was my very first Warped Tour. And at the same time making a difference. It was fun providing prizes for the fans as well :)
This Year's Peta campaign was "Animals Don't Smoke" which is to help ban Cigarrette Testing on Animals. Not many people know it happens. I had no idea myself. Which was a good reason to inform people on it. It dosn't matter if you smoke, I, myself smoke cigs occassionally. Having animals smoke cigarettes is a cruel deal. Thier bodies are more sensitive and its not even their choice.
To learn more information, go to this website:
http://features.peta2.com/Animals-Dont-Smoke/Default.aspx
The videos are cheesy and overexaggerated but the information is what really matters.

It was a dream come true to be able to see Yellowcard, Taking Back Sunday, All Time Low, Breathe Carolina and New Found Glory live. Also especially loved the scremo music from the bands that played earlier in the day. Everyone was so surprised by the fact that I've never been. I'm amazed myself. Ha.

PS, do this if you wanna make a difference by telling the FDA to stop Cigarette testing on Animals.
. txt BUTT to 73822
Once you get a response text Ban Cigarette Testing on Animals.
You may you a response back saying you win a prize, but this was for the Warped Tour. We gave out prizes at the tent for people who texted this :)

The shirt says Animals Don't Smoke.
I like it :)
Today I'm going to bleach one of my dresses white. Beach. And then Hollywood Glamour photoshoot with photographer Steven Hong, and makeup artist Jalanis Fishe :)
Excited!
Hope you guys had a blast this weekend!
