I was driving up my block when I noticed this white egret in my neighbors pond they live 5 houses away from me. Of course I had to turn my car around and get up close enough to get a photo. It was walking in the water waiting to find a fish for it's dinner. This is a natural pond that connects to our river so you never know what might be in there. I know there are turtles, muskrats and assorted ducks. They have a KOI pond in their backyard but I'm sure they have something to protect their fish from the herons and egrets around here : )
