Guess this month shall be the month of fashion? Maybe, I may run out of ideas, like now. Last week I talked about what I thought this summers biggest fashion trends were going to be. This week, I'll tell you about my favorite beauty supplies. I wear very minimal make-up, mainly cause I have no idea how to put it on right. There are a few things I love though, and I'll show you what I have! Ignore my messy room in the background of the photos.
I cannot stand perfume. Going into stores I have hold my breath when I go through the perfume aisles. However, I do like lighter scents like body sprays. Some body sprays are really strong too, but I love light sweet scents. Victoria's Secret had a sale a while back and I came across their Strawberries and Champagne spray and fell in love. It's so light and airy and sweet.
The one make-up tool I can use! Well, kind-of. I definitely don't apply it the right way, but I do it in my own way. The eyes are the one part of my face that I can work with. I am no good with liquid eyeliner, but I love how it looks. I stick with my Almay pencil liner.
Going along with eyeliner, I've gotten much better with mascara. I think it has to do with the brand because some can be very heavy which can get uncomfortable. Whenever I wear mascara I feel like I actually made an effort to look nice. Right now I've been using Great Lash by Maybelline Lots of Lashes. I bought it cause it was in very bright cute packaging, but it works very nicely too!
I used to wear lip gloss all the time, but then I got over it. And I've never come across a shade of lipstick that looks right on me. So, I stick with lip balms. My lips tend to dry out very fast, so I always have a few. Oddly my lips also become immune to them after so often too, so I'm constantly changing. I've tried ChapStick, Burt's Bees, Blistex, and now I'm using the adorable EOS.
I mentioned my love for nail polish on my last post. I'm actually horrible at painting my nails, but I love the colors. There are so many too choose from! My collection is rather light, but growing none-the-less. Most of the time I get Sally Hansen, cause there is a nice selection and it's not as expensive as other companies.
