Solo Project Spotlight: The Rocket Summer

It takes someone incredibly talented and dedicated to music to be able to play every instrument they use, produce their own albums, as well as write beautiful songs and lyrics.
Bryce Avary of The Rocket Summer possess all of these qualities and has been able to bulild a successful music career and growing fanbase for over a decade now.
Avary is the sole member of The Rocket Summer, but many fans could mistake him for having a full on band on each of his albums when in actuality he's playing every single instrument you hear. Avary has to be one of the hardest working artists in the music industry tackling every task that comes with writing a record comepletely on his own.
Since making his debut in 2000, Avary has had quite the busy career both touring and releasing four full-length studio albums and five EPs over the years.

Avary's career began in his teen years where he released, The Rocket Summer (EP). Avary did not lose focus or drive because as the years continued to pass, more music emerged from him. In 2003, The Rocket Summer debuted a full length album titled, Calendar Days. Other albums that followed included: Hello, Good Friend (2005), Do You Feel (2007), and Of Men And Angels (2010). Not only did The Rocket Summer complete four full-length albums, there were various EPs including: The Early Years EP (2006), iTunes EP (2007), You Gotta Believe (2009), and Of Men And Angels: B-Sides (2010).
It's incredible how much music Avary has been able to release in just a little over ten years now. As a result, The Rocket Summer has gained quite the following from fans around the world. The Rocket Summer toured around the world and appeared at music festivals such as SXSW and the Vans Warped Tour.
Avary has also found a way to give back to his loyal fanbase over the years. In the official music video for "You Gotta Believe", fans are featured in the video singing along, dancing, and playing their own instruments. Most recently, Avary has been offering a free download of The Rocket Summer's acoustic album on his official site. It's obvious Avary values his fans since he always trys to involve them in his work and stay connected.
As of now, Avary is working on a new album which would be the fifth full-length release for The Rocket Summer. He entered the studio on July 7 and has been keeping fans updated via his Twitter:
@TheRocketSummer: It's official. I am entering the studio tomorrow to begin recording the new Rocket Summer album. (ahh!!)
Avary's hard work ethic shines through every album he releases. The Rocket Summer is a solo act that deserves every recognition because the man behind it puts his whole heart into his music. If you haven't checked out his music yet head here:
