Friday Favorites: May 2012 Movies
Another movie filled month! There weren't too many movies this month, but a few bigs ones came out this month. Everything we've all been waiting for will only start coming out next month, and I need to find people to go see it with me! Here are the movies I watched this month! Some good, some bad, some just plain ugly.
Battleship
As I've mentioned many a times in my posts, I love Taylor Kitsch (who will NOT be playing Finnick in Catching Fire), but aside from Friday Night Lights he isn't very good. Not from what I've seen anyway. John Carter was horrible, this movie was terrible. He either needs to pick better movies or become a better actor. Battleship jumped all over the place and didn't have much of a point. We all know that it's based off of the boardgame, but it took more than an hour and half just to see how that tied in. If Jesse Plemons isn't as hilarious as he was, the movie would have been a complete waste.
Dark Shadows
Well, I've never been much of a Tim Burton fan. This is just further proof. I can't say I hated it, I just didn't like it, which is exactly how I thought I'd feel about the movie. There were a few funny parts to the movie, I still didn't care for it much though. None of the characters were very developed, which made the movie kind of boring.

Men in Black 3
I should have gone back and watched the first two movies again! There were some things I forgot and confused me. The first half of the movie was kind of slow and boring, but it picked up. I liked the end a lot. Honestly, I don't know if I liked it or not. There was a good balance of good and bad. I'm definitely glad I got the chance to see it though.
The Avengers
AMAZING! Just to see Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner in a movie together was awesome enough for me. But the movie was so good and well done! Every character got their a nice chunk of screen time. My love for Tom Hiddleston has grown tremendously, even though Loki is evil. Oh, and can we talk about how funny the movie was? I love latest Baman series for taking a different turn on comics and going dark and being super awesome. But I loved that this movie looked like you were opening a comic book and it was coming alive. I hope I can see it again before it leaves theaters! If you haven't seen this yet, what is wrong with you?

Which movies did you watch last month?
