featured SECOND OF THE LUCKY SEVEN.......
This was a male Monarch and the first one to emerge was a female. I'll post the female later. I released them in my yard today. I took them out and put them on the flowers hoping they would stay in place to give me time on photograph them. And they did !!!!! I wanted to post him first because I was able to get the sun behind his wings making for that stained glass effect. Right after I took this another buttterfly landed and spooked him and he actually flew back to the case I keep them in ~
