Lolita Love
I have a love of Lolita Fashion and truly admire those who wear it :-) Lolita Fashion is a huge trend in Japan and probably one of the first to really take off amongst the Japanese Youth Culture.
It started off as a fashion that was inspired by the 'Victorian Era' with a heavy use of dark colours and gothic patterns but over the years, Lolita Fashion has evolved dramatically and there are new sub cultures popping up frequently. However, traditional 'Lolita' is still one of (if not the) most popular style and 'Alice and the Pirates' is definitely a 'must have' label.
'Alice and the Pirates' is a collection of traditional 'Lolita' with a pirate/punk edge. The over-all label is called 'Baby, The Stars Shine Bright' (how cute :-)), which is mainly focused on more of the 'Sweet Lolita' style. Below is a small selection of the 'Alice and the Pirates' Collection...

Cathedral Dress

Princess Apple Print Dress

Theatre Dress

Lace PullOver

Little Red Riding Hood Dress

Treasure Box Bag

Rich Frilled Umbrella

Hide and Seek JumperSkirt

Queen's Coach Skirt

Lace Flocky JumperSkirt

Rose Ribbon Dress

Cross Belt Boots

Veil Claris Silk Hat

Melty Fur Coat

Jizelia Coat
So, what do you think? To me, 'Lolita' Fashion has a real sense of elegance mixed with darkness. Those who dress this way (particularly in Japan) don't just do it to look 'cool'. 'Lolita' can be a way of life, a community where you can get together with other 'Lolita' enthusiasts, hold 'Victorian' style tea parties and indulge in the 'Lolita Bible' (a fashion magazine :-))...to most, it's not just about the clothes, it's a different lifestyle :-)
If you would like to purchase any of these items (all of them come in a variety of different colours) or would like to see more of the Collection, then please click here :-)
