Twilight

continued DATE WITH A VAMPIRE

From Grecia Lupercio, panicrebels:

"Alex, are you sure you won't get caught?" asked Emma, my little sister, my only sibling.

"Yes," I said simply.

I was sneaking out tonight. I was to meet someone very special, and I didn't care for any consequences. Mom and Dad were watching a movie. I was pretty dang sure they were oblivious to anything besides the movie. Emma, only 15, knew that I was sneaking out to meet a guy, but she didn't know who. All she needed to know was that I'd be safe with him.

"What time will you get back?" she asked, sitting on my bed. Emma sorta looked like me. She had ivory skin, hazel eyes, but instead of having light brown hair, she had beautiful blond hair. When it came down to personalities, we were totally different. Emma was smart, athletic, and responsible — basically everything I'm not. I mean, I had good grades, but never "straight A's." Sports were simply not for me. Responsible? Let's just say, if you want your goldfish well taken care of, don't leave it with me.

"I'm not sure," I said. "Just keep the window unlocked so I could climb back in."

She nodded and handed me my jacket. "Who are you meeting this late?"

"Just, uh...a someone." Who happens to make my heart rate go up. Who literally gives me goosebumps. Whose kisses take my breath away. Who happens to be a blood-drinking vampire.

"Alexandra, who is this someone? Look, I just don't want you to get in trouble. Remember last time-"

"Em, you ask way too many questions. Just do as I say, and Mom and Dad won't know a thing."

I climbed out of the window as quietly as I could manage and climbed down the trellis. I made it, I thought.

"Burrr." It was cold in Chicago tonight. I waved goodbye to Emma and walked down the street. As I walked, I wondered where this place he was taking me tonight was. He said it was very special to him, and that he never showed it to anyone. He said that he escaped from everything there. I sighed. Maybe he kinda more then likes me, I thought, but maybe not.

As my mind wandered, I didn't see the car coming from behind. I turned but the headlights were too bright. The black car parked next to me. It was a Ferrari F 430. The window rolled down, and my heart stopped. It was him.

"Hello," he said in his low, beautiful voice.

"Hi," I breathed out. He opened the driver's side door and got out. He was tall and lean, yet muscular. His hair was golden light brown, he had a face of a model. His features were amazing. His skin was a creamy pale, and his eyes were a light butterscotch. He was wearing a pair of jeans and a black coat, and under the coat he had a navy shirt.

Before I knew it, he had me in his arms. Even with my jacket and his coat, his body was cold against mine, but I didn't care. When he held me, he tended to drain all my senses.

"I missed you," he breathed into my hair, his cool breath giving me chills.

"I missed you too." He released me, but held my hand. He led me to the passenger side and opened the door for me. I slipped in. He closed the door and slipped into the driver's side before I could blink. I still couldn't get used to that.

I smiled. "So, where are we going?" I asked as he put the car in drive. He sometimes tended to drive over the speed limit every once and awhile, which sometimes I didn't seem to notice. What can I say? He "feels the need for speed."

He smiled. "You'll see," was all he said. He turned the heater on in the car, making it all warm inside.

"Tristan, you're not going to kill me at this 'special' place, are you?" I asked sarcastically.

He laughed out loud. "No, I would have done that on our first date." He grinned licking his white perfect teeth.

"Ha-ha, very funny." The rest of the ride was quiet. I kept asking him where we were going, but he kept giving me cryptic answers, so I decided to just give up. I turned on the radio, but there was nothing good on. Where are my tunes, I thought.

To try to keep myself occupied, I took out my phone out and started taking random pictures, mostly of Tristan. After fifteen minutes of Tristan telling me to stop being a paparazzi, he stopped the car by some old, very tall building.

I swallowed. "Uh, what are we doing here?" I asked. He ignored me, stepped out of the car and opened my door in record time. He held out his hand. I hesitated for a minute, then took it. After taking my hand, he pulled me closer to him.

"Don't be afraid," he whispered, his face only inches from mine. I thought he would kiss me, but he just smiled and took my hand again. I didn't speak at all as he led us to the side of the old building. The place looked abandoned, the color of it was slowly peeling off. The street in front of it was deserted. What's so special about this place, I thought to myself. He then came to a stop and pulled down the fire-escape stairs like they were nothing.

"Alright, climb up," he said simply. I hesitated. "Alex, I won't let anything happen to you, I promise," he said, his topaz eyes glowing even more. He was being sincere. That I knew.

I sighed. "Okay." I climbed the staircase. I looked up to see the staircase leading to a large glass window.

"Go through the window, it's open," called Tristan behind me. I did as I was told. When I was inside, it took my breath away. The top of the building was made out of pure glass and all you could see were the bright stars, with no cloud in sight. We didn't need light; the moon was full and bright enough for us to see, even though Tristan didn't need it. He had "vampire sight."

"Wow," was all I could say, looking up at the beautiful night blue sky. Tristan hugged me from behind, his cool arms around my waist.

"I knew you'd like it," he whispered in my ear.

Liked it? I more than liked it. This place was amazing. Simply Magical.

"No wonder you tend to escape here, this place is beautiful, " I said, as I rested my head on his shoulder. He kissed my cheek, sending chills down my body.

"You're beautiful," he said. I had to laugh out loud at that. Me beautiful? I don't think so.

"You are." That made me laugh even more. After a while, I calmed down a bit.

"Tristan, you don't have to lie," I told him. He turned me around, so we were face to face.

"I'm not lying, you are beautiful. I don't understand why you can't see that. I never met anyone like you. I never thought I would, but what can I say, life is full of surprises. Now believe me" — his lips inches from mine — " when I say I love you."

His cool lips crashed mine before I knew it. He kissed me with such a passion it made my breath disappear. I couldn't think straight. I could just feel his cool lips moving against mine. I couldn't believe what he had just told me. I felt like a princess in a fairy tale. It felt surreal. It was several moments later before Tristan pulled away. I just stood there, my eyes still closed. I was oblivious to everything at the moment.

"Alex?" he whispered, his cool breath against my cheek.

"Yes?" I murmured, my eyes still closed.

"I love you," he said again. "I love you more then you could ever know, more then you could ever imagine, so much it scares me." My mind began to work again. He loved me. I'd waited so long to hear him say that. How many times had I dreamed of him telling me how much he loved me? All I could do to show him how much I loved him too was to kiss him right back. I slipped my arms around his neck and tried to bring him as close as I could. His sweet cool breath clouded up my mind.

"I love you so much," I whispered against his lips. He wrapped his cool arms around my waist, holding me against his cold beautiful body, making me weak in the knees.

I felt him smile then, "Are you sure you're in love with a vampire?" he asked, resting his cheek on mine.

I chuckled. "No, I just said that so I could kiss you," I said sarcastically.

"Ha-ha, very funny," he said, using the same words I said earlier.

"Tristan?" It was now or never. I had to ask him. "Will you turn me into um...a vampire?" His body tensed. He released me gently, and grabbed my shoulders.

"What? Why would you want that?" he asked. I never seen him more serious. Was he seriously asking me this question? Was it not obvious? I wanted to be with him forever.

"Well because..." He kissed me before I could explain. He kissed me until I sort of pushed him off. "That's not fair," I gasped out. He just smiled his wicked smile.

"Tristan...," I started to say again. But he cut me off.

"Alex, can we not talk about this now, you're ruining the moment." His eyes were warm and gentle.

I sighed. "Fine." But it's not over. I walked around him and found a blanket. I grabbed it and placed it in the middle of the floor. I turned around to call Tristan but he wasn't there. I turned back to the blanket and I saw him laying there, his arms behind his head, smiling his beautiful crooked smile. I couldn't help but smile back. I lay beside him and rested my head on his cold chest, while he gently stroked my hair. We laid there, not talking, just watching the beautiful starry night through the glass roof.

Now wasn't the time to be speaking about me becoming a vampire, but there was always tomorrow...

Awesome story you have got here, I really liked it! It was very well written and the character portrayl was great as well, as the interaction between them!
However, I do believe it had maybe a little too much similarities to Twilight, but it was overall a great story, so never mind, I guess!
