Hey all!

I recently went to my very first My Chemical Romance show! I had no idea what to expect, and it was better than I could ever have imagined.

I got to the venue around 11:30am to queue for a spot. There were around 30 people or so already there...so I figured I would get a great spot once inside. However, when it was time for the doors to open the whole thing turned to chaos. There were people flooding from everywhere to get to this guy giving out wristbands to the floor....and I'm not exactly pushy, so I kinda got knocked out of the way...

Once I got inside though, I booked it to the floor and ended up getting to about 3rd row, not too shabby! When the opener, Rise Against, came out everything condensed. I was so squished! But it was worth going though that ...Read More

My Chemical Romance on March 10th at The Forum!!!

Epic. The one word that could conceivably describe the experience my two valiant companions and I shared with an arena full of like-minded rock warriors.  Pyrotechnics, strobe lights, and massive set changes served to equate the atmosphere with the music.  We looked on in awe and sang our hearts out.
The night began as all other arena shows do, a large room filled with people, the buzz of their collective voices overlaying random rock songs in the background.  Screams echoed through the building when finally the lights dimmed and Rise Against took the stage.  Their energetic set was peppered with Tim McIlrath's inspiring mini-speeches. One of which went something like "Everybody in this room is here for a different reason. But at least some of you are here because this is where you belong. This is where you fit in.  But tomorrow, when you go back to work or school, remember this: ...Read More

My Chemical Romance L.A. Forum show March 10, 2007

March 10, 2007
Oh My Fucking God!!! The show was so fucking amazing. All my friends and I were on the floor right in front of them. It was my second show and i absolutley loved it! At 8:00 Rise Against took control of the whole fucking place and totally kicked ass! They played a great set and then at like 9:00 Gerard comes out on the Gurney and the crowd goes wild. They play the whole Black Parade CD from start to finish with fireworks, fire, and confetti to adorn it and make simply phenominal. Then THE BLACK PARADE left and out came My Chemical Romance with REVENGE (if you like that shit) and they played all the songs that everyone in the crowd knows and loves. Gerard of course had to tease us through the whole thing, like in I'm Not Okay during the Trust Me ...Read More

Denver Show

My Chemical Romance brings The Black Parade to life
(Kind of an ironic title considering the album is about death.)

The five hours of waiting in line came to an end when security opened the front doors to Magness Arena just a short while after 6:30pm on Sunday, March 4th. Thousands of fans poured into the DU arena for a sold-out show spectacle. For hours, Liz, Kelly, Kevin, and I mingled with the other amazing fans, and listening to the same speech by security a dozen times – “No weapons, no laser pointers, NO CAMERAS.”

We were on the barricade, on the far left corner. Eric and I went back upstairs for a quick run to get some tour merch. And at 7:30pm, Rise Against took the stage. They performed eleven songs over their 40 minute set. From the powerful ...Read More
