Please note that certain dates in the Official Rules have changed, as follows:

The deadline for submissions of Spoofs has been extended to May 18, 2008,
The approximate date of notification for potential Finalists and Alternates has been changed to May 21, 2008, and
The voting period for Spoofs on the MTV Movie Awards Site will commence on May 23, 2008 and end on May 28, 2008.

WHAT:

Calling all Buzznet users. Anyone with a productive imagination and zero production dollars has a shot at winning 2 tickets to the 2008 MTV Movie Awards and a shot at winning their own MTV Movie Award at the show! Beginning April 16th, submit your original movie shorts parodying this past year’s nominated films.
Upload it to Buzznet and get everyone you know to Buzz it. Buzznet will then select a finalist based on creativity, humor, theme and audience appeal.
Buzznet's Finalist's video will be featured on movieawards.mtv.com starting on 5/23/08. This is your chance to rally all your friends and get them to vote for Buzznet's winning video.
The video with the most votes will be nominated for the Best Movie spoof live at the Show. One of the future Scorceses from Buzznet could win a legendary Movie Awards Trophy live at the show.

Enter starting: 4/16 – 5/18 (Midnight EST), but the earlier the better so you get more Buzz!

First, select which movie you want to spoof . Here is the full list. Then, shoot your spoof. Make sure it is less than 3 minutes long and do not use any copyrighted music or video materials that you didn't create yourself. We will provide you with all the tools you need like music by Pump Audio.
Also make sure that anyone you are featuring in your video has given you their permission to do so. Once you are done, upload your Spoof and tell all your friends to Buzz it.

All eligible submissions will receive 2 movie ticket vouchers.
One finalist from Buzznet will be flown to Los Angeles to attend the 2008 MTV Movie Awards and will also receive the new Flip Video Camcorder as well as their shot at winning an MTV Movie Award during the show's live broadcast on Sunday, June 1st. Enjoy and good luck!
