The idea behind these photos was to dress up and be ridiculous. Very early on in this shoot, I thought it would be hilarious to show what Mario has been up to since the demise of his original games. He takes the bus. He sleeps on benches. He digs through dumpsters. And he's clearly got street cred from all of this. Enjoy. All photos by Ryan Russell. DO NOT REPOST.

I just noticed that the 'Mario' I wrote in the dust on the windshield looks much like the writing that was already there. I HAZ SKILLZ.
