The Top 10 Worst Album Covers of 2008

1) Avenged Sevenfold - Live In The LBC & Diamonds In The Rough

They made #7 in last year's list and they have the distinct honor of making it to the top of my list of the the Worst Album Covers of 2008.

I'm convinced the same artist who drew Escape The Fate's This War Is Ours album cover also created this monstrosity of art.

Check out the band being turned into skeletal versions of themselves! Look! There's Long Beach's infamous Queen Mary in the water! (Clearly, the artist is going for realistic detail with this piece.)

Oh, and Long Beach itself is in the background and IT'S ON FIRE! OH MY GOD, THIS IS SO METAL! Only it's not, because the band appears to be playing on/floating on a piece of wood shaped like a set of stairs. So did the band actually play in the ocean? And why is Long Beach on fire? Because of the amazing power of their rock????!?!?!?

God, as if this band needed another thing to further cement themselves as utter douchebags. Congratulations, Avenged Sevenfold. If you hadn't jumped the shark yet (and I know you have), you most certainly have now.
I think this album cover is amazing and as a few added things to make it even more amazing is that Cam Rackam made this and he is my favourite artist of all time, on top of that it's of my favourite band. Ok it may be busy but when you take time to look at it you realize the amount of work that must have gone into making this incredable piece art. Personally I think it's one of the best. Plus the album cover doesn't take away from the amazing music that they create even though this isn't an offical CD.

I love Avenged Sevenfold, but their CD covers are AWFUL.

Taking a lot of time =/= incredible piece of art.

I could take 18 years to draw a bunch of stick figures. Doesn't make it awesome.

This is a trashy throwback to Guns N' Roses from a band who constantly have to do throwbacks to other bands. Blech.

I have to admit, this is a wretched album cover. It's great to bring back Guns N' Roses appetite for destruction concept but at least G-N-R didn't clutter up the cover art with things not needed. It was just a simple cross with the band member heads as skulls.
80s cover art MUST DIE!

Lowry was awesome & he did stick figures.

I liked it so much better when they kept it simple with the plain black or white covers and the Deathbat. >_> Sounding the Seventh Trumpet had a pretty cool cover, though.
This is just ridiculous, though.
