Easily one of the most haunting and surreal images I've seen on this site. Shaunna actually took this photo years ago and chose to re-submit it for that week's Bad Religion-themed assignment.
To me, it's a political statement, an economic statement, and an emotional statement all in one. It's as if we have faith in a beautiful sunset, a total expression of nature's awe, and it's shattered by the palm tree-like sign that arches out of the foreground.
