10. Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson
Taking our 10th spot on the list are two people, actually. They are married and have booming musical careers. Starting out as a blond, Ashlee's ever-changing hair colors and fashion choices have been some of the year's most popular. After a few bumps in the the road, she found friendship and soon love in Pete Wentz, the joker-esque bass player of Fall Out Boy. From hoodie hog to Prince Charming, Wentz's style has evolved, like his band's music. I bet baby Bronx will be just as fashionable as his mom and dad!

 


9. The Jonas Brothers
Taking our 9th spot are three young brothers: Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas! Appearing from out of nowhere, these guys have taken the Disney circuit by storm and have been branching out ever since. Starting out as the "typical" hoodie-wearing, skinny jean-sporting kind of guys, they've gone to the side of suave, James Bond-ish style clothing. Pairing modern pieces with era pieces, The Jo Bros definitely had a plan!





8. Katy Perry
Our #8 spot is taken up "Cupid's Chokehold" herself, Katy Perry! Her girly, vintage pin-up style seems comfy, chill and a fashion must!



7. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart
Grab some silver—and quick!—because guess who made the list? Yep, that's right. Edward Cullen and Bella Swan have taken our #7 spot! Vampires are taking the book world by storm and Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson have immortalized the roles of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. Undoubtedly, we'll be seeing more of these two and hopefully more excellent fashion choices.





6. Miley Cyrus
It's none other than the Smiley Miley! Her simple-yet-totally-cute-and-classic style is amazing. It shows us that even with dozens of flashing bulbs from the paparazzi and interviews galore, you still can take 15 minutes and create a cute outfit!

 

5. Ne-Yo
Having been "So Sick" with today's rappers, I've decided to include the dashing, charming and refreshing style of singer, composer and song writer, Ne-Yo! Not only is he a fabulous singer, but he knows how to dress up! He takes our fifth spot.





4. Beyonce
Sasha Fierce (aka Beyonce Knowles) takes 4th place. Even though she's married to one of the biggest names in the business, she's still very much an "Independent Woman" and she's not afraid to accentuate what her momma gave her!



3. Nicole Richie
The daughter of one of my personal favorites in music (Mr. Lionel Richie, in case you were wondering), Nicole Richie has comes in at #3! Much like the rest of us, she has had some bad fashion choices. (Who hasn't?) She is, however, creating and defining her own fashion mantra from on again/off again BFF, Ms. Paris Hilton. Did I mention that her beau is also rocker Joel Madden!? Talk about a whole lot of gorgeousness!





2. Drum roll please....
Our runner-up is such an inspiring, independent and awesome band. That's why it was such a hard decision between my #1 and Paramore! Woohoo! What can I say about them!? They have set so many trends. Their debut album All We Know Is Falling sure put them on the radar, but 2007's Riot! granted them a spot in the record books. Hayley's fashion transforms about as much as Optimus Prime! Her hair goes from dark, natural red to multi-color blonds and oranges. Who knows what she'll do next? Also, let's not forget the boys!  Do I need to remind you how awesome they look in their skinny jeans? Whether Paramore is setting trends in music or fashion, they are at home in the #2 spot!
 




1. Rihanna
These last 12 months have been insane! From crazy come backs (like AC/DC), historic elections and talks of economic bailouts, who could really keep up with it all? There was so much that happened in 2008; whew! Thank goodness for music and fashion! This brings us to my #1 artist: Rihanna! She really makes me say, "HOLY SHAMOLEY!" Rihanna also inspires myself and others with her independence and confidence. Her ability to smile on the inside so that others smile back is also a key to her success.

Rihanna's looks as well as her music have been transformational. From club beats to singing with her boss Jay-Z, she takes the road less traveled and isn't at all afraid to try new things. From nearly flawless and typical long locks to edgy and colorful hair, her style has embodied independence. She can go from casual to walking the red carpet at the Grammy's with ease. For all these reasons, Rihanna is our Winner for Best Dressed in 2008!
