The All-American Rejects deliver a full-on pop-rock party on their third album, When the World Comes Down, and Buzznet loved it so much that we decided to spotlight the band in the latest edition of The Big Story. With songs like "Gives You Hell," "I Wanna Touch You" and "Mona Lisa," the new album is totally crush-worthy and their tour this spring is sure to be a sweet ticket. What exactly inspired the band's new songs? That's been a dirty little secret—until now.
What's Your Fave Song by The All-American Rejects? |
DIDN'T YOU KNOW…
...that The All-American Rejects' (Official Website) road to stardom began in Stillwater, Oklahoma? That's where high-school bros Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler met at a party, joined forces and started a band—although Ritter falsely claimed he could play bass. (Oops!) Ritter eventually learned to play and it wasn’t long until the duo started crafting pop-tastic songs inspired by The Anniversary and Def Leppard. The band’s self-titled debut, originally released in 2002 by Doghouse Records, included the hooky single "Swing, Swing," which blasted the band—soon rounded out by guitarist Mike Kennerty and drummer Chris Gaylor—into the pop-rock stratosphere. In 2005, the band released their Interscope Records debut, Move Along, which was produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance) and included hits like "Dirty Little Secret," "It Ends Tonight" and its anthemic title track.
